Single mother of 13 month old boy. Meeting people and getting out in general has been difficult for me since having my son. I'd like to find someone I can have fun with but also have potential for something more lasting. Fun is .. Well, fun!- but ultimately my intent is to find the one I will share my life with. Giving this online thing a shot- see how it goes!? Msg me on *** or ***

I am recently divorced and slowly re-entering the dating scene. It's a bit trickier than I remembered it! I am a bartender. I fancy myself a writer but, let's face it, a gals gotta eat! I have two English Bulldogs that rule with an iron paw! I value humor over almost all else and have a fairly wicked sense myself. I've tried standup before and intend to do so again. I like to write, paint, sing karaoke (but only if everyone listening is plastered.) I am kind to everyone and really can't tolerate hateful or overly morose people. I'm cheerful and would prefer to be around other cheerful folks! I am an avid reader and digest information well. I'm intelligent, witty, friendly and I seem to put people at ease. I'm trying to break out of my social scene "rut" to meet new people and it's been pretty fun so far. I want to finish a book I started and stalled on. I want to get more editing experience. I want to take up boxing and I want to know where I put my damned keys! I am extremely lucky to have a great number of friends. If we meet, they are likely to give me the third degree about you so, just be prepared to answer a few questions! One of my friends was freaked that I'd try the online dating thing. We were sitting at a bar and she was getting pretty blustery saying " but they could be a serial killer!" I pointed to a dude a few seats down and said "so could he. What difference does it make where I met them?" I'm fairly certain the guy wasn't a serial killer. At least not at this point in his life. I would very much appreciate if you weren't either! ;) Not to sound like a barfly but my first encounter with you will likely be in that setting. It's a comfort issue. There are people around but they will generally leave you alone and it's less intimate, which for a first meeting takes the pressure off! Now if we like each other and want to go on a real date, I enjoy long dinners with good wine, easy conversation and laughing. As for destinations, I'm pretty much game for anything. I like the zoo, for example! That being said, I don't handle excessive heat too well, so the next few months of summer agony should probably be spent in a pool or central air condition.

Hi, I'm a 36 year old single mom of 2. My daughter is 19 & in college & my son is 15. He does live with me but stays w/his dad alot. Needless to say I don't have babies anymore so therefore I don't do or tolerate childish games.; big blue eyes. I'm also a thick, curvy woman so I hope that doesn't scare too many of you away....haha. I'm not only newly single but also new to the whole internet dating scene. I was in a committed relationship (or atleast I thought it was), for 17 years so needless to say being single again is a little scary. I am not a materialistic person but what I don't want or need in material things I do demand in how I am treated. I have no tolerance, patience or energy for anymore headgames, I did that for too many years & settled for how I was treated so needless to say I am at a point in my life where I know I deserve to be treated better so now I'm demanding it! I am a very straight forward honest person & I tend to come off sometimes a little brash but that's me. You pretty much get what you see. Most men have a preconceived misconception of what women think is attractive or sexy. All women are not the same, I find humor & stability to be a great turn on. I mean, don't get me wrong there definitely has to be a physical attraction as well on both ends or what's the point? I am not a vain woman by no means but I do know that I'm a GOOD woman & will one day be a great companion for the right person. One that deserves all that I have to offer which is alot. I love spending time with my family & friends but I also enjoy time alone w/someone as well, whether it be in a group setting or just cuddling up watching a movie. I love the beach or anything tropical & go as often as I can. I enjoy pretty much all types of music & for the most part am a simple person who tries 2 look at the positive in everything & everyone, & enjoy the little things in life. I love a man with a sense of humor, but can also be serious when needed. I have found in these last few months that life is too short to spend it alone, especially when I'm still young enough to enjoy it...... I'm just like any other woman. I do enjoy being wooed & made to feel special but also not trying to rush into anything. So we could do something simple like dinner or coffee. Anything where we can get to know one another & see where it goes from there.
