Despite working in the Sales and Marketing profession, I struggle to market myself personally on this site. This is my first venture into this type of dating platform, so please bear with me. :)I am an independent, confident, career-minded woman. Over the past several years, I've chosen my priorities - my son and my career.-based company, with it's North America headquarters located in Reading, PA. I am in my 18th year with the company and sincerely love what I do. Travel is a real passion of mine, and with "North America" as my territory, this job has certainly afforded me the opportunity to explore. I am also a single parent to a 16 year-old young man. He's a high-school junior, avid soccer player, and a member of the local JROTC, aspiring to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. I am self-sufficient, and own my home, so I haven't felt the need to make finding someone to compliment my life a real priority. Turning 40 has made me re-evaluate my thinking. :) I do miss the companionship and the feeling that I belong to someone, and I am looking for someone who will appreciate me for the genuine person I am, as well as for my accomplishments both professionally, and as a single parent. I'd love to find someone who feels as lucky to be with me as I do to be with them. While I continue to focus on my career, all the success in the world isn't going to mean anything without having someone special to love and share it with.The late night bar scene as a regular activity does not interest me, but I could still enjoy a great dance club every once in a while. I can take my son fishing, then throw on my heels to meet friends to check out a new restaurant or see a live band. I am also always up for a day/night at a sports bar to catch a football or baseball game, or a soccer match. There is also nothing wrong with spending a night in, or on a picnic with a bottle of wine somewhere by the water. I love to cook and entertain, but I could use someone to help me perfect my grilling skills! In summary, I'm pretty much up for anything! As long as there are smiles, laughter, and good company, it's time well spent. I am a big believer that your appearance is a real representation of who you are and the way you approach other aspects of your life. I am not high maintenance, but I do take pride in how I present myself. It's also important to me that the person I am with feels proud when we walk into a room together. I would hope that person feels similarly about themselves, as well. Just to note, my favorite look for a guy for a night out is jeans with a sport coat and dress shoes. :) So, I suppose this wouldn't be complete without mentioning what I'm looking for in a partner: honesty, loyalty, respect, compassion, romance, pride in yourself, the ability to make time for fun as a couple, and have a desire to find that one special person. Hi *big grin* u smiled back, didn't you?! I like you already! im an optimistic, outgoing person. I look for the positives in life and try to enjoy each day. My goal is to eventually be in a long term relationship with someone who will be my very best friend, my better half, and me, his. someone who i look forward to seeing at the end of the day. who appreciates the little things i go out of my way to do for him. Someone who enjoys doing things together...isn't it way more fun when u realize that accomplishing things together is called a project rather than a chore. In reality life isnt always good...I need someone who will hold me up when life hurts and who will count on me to do the same for him. All that said, im not in a hurry to make that happen right away because when its right i will know it. I would rather find some great friends and if it turns out to be more than that even better....no pressure. if not then i haven't lost anything and i don't consider it a waste of my time. Rushing things isn't my style. Like i said, when its right you just know. Im not on here for friends with benefits. ( yes, i do like sex jokes...that doesnt mean im easy, it means i can relate.) I have self respect and values that are important to me. When the right guy comes along i would think he would appreciate this since im saving it for him! I love to laugh and sometimes have a bit of sarcasm to my humor but its never meant to be negative. i like people with quick wit, sometimes silly, and who are comfortable enough with themselves to be who they are. honesty is very important to me, as well as compassion for others and openmindedness. :-) ....just to let u know, what i wrote about myself is the real deal. I can "walk the walk" to back up my talk. Yup! Can you? ;-) First of all lets not call it a date, that puts so much pressure on the whole thing... i think the best way to really get to know someone is to be yourself.
