Despite working in the Sales and Marketing profession, I struggle to market myself personally on this site. This is my first venture into this type of dating platform, so please bear with me. :)I am an independent, confident, career-minded woman. Over the past several years, I've chosen my priorities - my son and my career.-based company, with it's North America headquarters located in Reading, PA. I am in my 18th year with the company and sincerely love what I do. Travel is a real passion of mine, and with "North America" as my territory, this job has certainly afforded me the opportunity to explore. I am also a single parent to a 16 year-old young man. He's a high-school junior, avid soccer player, and a member of the local JROTC, aspiring to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. I am self-sufficient, and own my home, so I haven't felt the need to make finding someone to compliment my life a real priority. Turning 40 has made me re-evaluate my thinking. :) I do miss the companionship and the feeling that I belong to someone, and I am looking for someone who will appreciate me for the genuine person I am, as well as for my accomplishments both professionally, and as a single parent. I'd love to find someone who feels as lucky to be with me as I do to be with them. While I continue to focus on my career, all the success in the world isn't going to mean anything without having someone special to love and share it with.The late night bar scene as a regular activity does not interest me, but I could still enjoy a great dance club every once in a while. I can take my son fishing, then throw on my heels to meet friends to check out a new restaurant or see a live band. I am also always up for a day/night at a sports bar to catch a football or baseball game, or a soccer match. There is also nothing wrong with spending a night in, or on a picnic with a bottle of wine somewhere by the water. I love to cook and entertain, but I could use someone to help me perfect my grilling skills! In summary, I'm pretty much up for anything! As long as there are smiles, laughter, and good company, it's time well spent. I am a big believer that your appearance is a real representation of who you are and the way you approach other aspects of your life. I am not high maintenance, but I do take pride in how I present myself. It's also important to me that the person I am with feels proud when we walk into a room together. I would hope that person feels similarly about themselves, as well. Just to note, my favorite look for a guy for a night out is jeans with a sport coat and dress shoes. :) So, I suppose this wouldn't be complete without mentioning what I'm looking for in a partner: honesty, loyalty, respect, compassion, romance, pride in yourself, the ability to make time for fun as a couple, and have a desire to find that one special person. Is it wrong to want more out of life then a bed buddy? is it wrong that at my age I want to be happy and in a relationship? Where do I start? First and Foremost I have 2 teenagers who are my world and that will not change. If that bothers you then keep looking. Now that is out there where do I begin.Trying the scene for the first time in a very long time..... It scares me being honest. Take it day by day and moment for moment.....About me... Average body, dark hair, green eyes, 5'5. Stay active love being outdoors. Love being indoors. I enjoy being around groups of people laughng and having a great time,standing around the kitchen, or the pit outside. Chillin on the couch watching a movie, the game , the race. Totally enjoy researching new places and finding things out. Enjoy being out at busch gardens , love walking the zoo (which I havent been to in a while) and seeing all the animals. Enjoy the beach but I truly think of JAWS way to much why I am there. I know crazy but I do. I truly dont care for the sci fi scene.... To odd and fake for me. Speaking of fake, dont care for the fake or the lies........ Be truthful and up front its the only way to be at this point in my life. Love listening to all sorts of music but I tend to favor country music. Enjoy concerts. I did visit and I say visit the bar scene but its to listen to music and dance. Havent been out . I dont drink while I am out because I normally am the designated driver. I love to dance especially to country music. I havent been in awhile because my partener in crime moved away so I dont get to get out . I dont have to hit the bar scene to have a good time. I can have a great time anywhere. Listening to the communication is a big thing. Be honest.......Not sure at this point if I can say anything else. ASK AWAY, If your only looking for the one night stand, or a booty call or whatever its called at this day and age, I DO NOT DO it. I passed that stage in my life. Want to know anything just ask..... Busch Gardens, walk the beach (which is pretty awesome especially at sunset) go karting . Something that we can have a good time and not be all stiff and uncomfortable .......
