I'm not much of a city girl and love to spend most of my time camping, or hiking in the woods, or paddling in my boat. Winter time, I'm usually crosscountry skiing in our local spots. Just another idea...My job lets me take kids outdoors by either sending them on a massive 5 day canoe trip, or by making them survive the winter chills in a snowcave.
