I am going to grad school to become a therapist because people amaze me! Right now, I have been doing more yoga and become more aware of the things that actually speak to me. My uniqueness comes with my ability to be authentic to what is true for me and my experience. This is how I have developed my own values and how I see the world. I also believe that I am widening those beliefs and it is a unique time to get to know me because I am more open to ways of thinking and living life. I would prefer to have someone that is interested in developing a spiritual side to them or is already in the process of doing that. I find it makes for better conversation and more depth to the relationship than going over what each other does everyday and the little things in life that come and go. Also, I need to be emotionally connected to a person for me to feel invested in spending time with them. I have tried getting people to understand what I have to offer, but I won't spend me time convincing someone that I am a great package. Just so we are clear. I also don't jump into relationships right away. I take my time to get to know someone, so please don't expect that after 2 weeks of dating that I am going to drop everything and be committed. Seems a bit of an odd request, but I have gotten it and it tells me about where the person I am dating is at in their rush to have a commitment. Also, if I meet you and you think I am just in the friend category, tell me. Please don't go back and forth and waiver or be indecisive...it is really not attractive. I am unique in that I take risks in life. My goals don't just consist of having babies and having a family. While that is important to me, it is vital to who I am that I have my own aspirations! Oh and I prefer someone that has their own 2 feet in the ground and can make their own decisions. If you are a momma's boy, please don't respond. I have dated and allmost married one of them and I want someone that has a good relationship with their parents and their is a positive influence, but they are not looking to their parents for answers on every day tasks all the time. Apparently, this seems to be a hard request to fill, but I am looking for a level of independence that shows me you are mature.Just to put this out there, I am not close with my family. If you are looking for someone that is very tight with their family, look elsewhere. In my life, I have found that I am more concerned with healthy relationships and whatever form that comes in is ok with me. I am looking to create my own healthy family so I hope that I can find someone that appreciates what I offer and realizes that my resiliency and strength will be assets that will carry for a long term healthy relationship :) Coffee and ice cream...I like my first date to be sober. I like to see a person for who they really are, not in an altered state. If I like how that goes, then we can go for a drink after or dinner.

Hey guys! I'm looking to get out there and enjoy life with that special someone. My hobbies include volunteering at the local soup kitchen, zumba classes, taking my pup to the dog park, and traveling. There are so many other things I'd like to try though.
