About Me

So a little about me…I am one of the few true Northern VA natives you will ever meet. Yes, we really do exist! People in general say I remind them of the girl next door. I’m not sure what that means but I’m told it’s a good thing. I pride myself on being independent, self-reliant and financially responsible. My friends will also tell you that I'm loyal, can hold a conversation with just about anyone and have a wicked sense of humor.More about me...I have a high-stress job that keeps me on my toes during the week, so I prefer to keep my weekends drama-free, filled with good times and great friends. I have my own house which is always a work in progress. Oh, I also have 3 adopted “rescue” children, who are short, furry, have 4 legs and bark. If you are afraid of dog hair, wet noses and/or sloppy kisses then I’m probably not the girl for you. ***Feel free to insert your "dog lady" joke here. So what am I looking for? Well, I would hope that we are all here for the same thing. I mean this is a “dating” site after all. First and foremost, I’m looking for new friends but I’m hoping in the end to meet “Mr. Right.” I think one can never have too many friends in their lives and it’s proven that it’s best friends who make for great boyfriends and even better husbands. Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic. So a little about you…Dog lovers are a requirement obviously. I’’t smoke and isn’t a huge drinker. I’m looking for someone who compliments me both figuratively and literally, has a great sense of humor, is financially and emotionally secure and most importantly independent. (I'm not looking for someone to be with me ***.) It would also be nice if you are open to marriage and kids. Not any time soon, but in the future.     My life is not too far off from a fairy tale. I am surrounded by friends and family who love and support me whatever I do in life. That being said, I'm not looking to run out and fall in love with the next man that pays me some attention. I know my worth and I know what I deserve from a partner. Any good woman does ;) Also, I love to hang out in dive bars and just weird obscure places where my friends and I have a good time. Turns out they're not such good places to meet men. Not that the internet appears to be much better...haha. I have a fairly good idea of what qualities Im looking for in a man:* *Someone who is financially responsible. Doesnt mean you need to have a lot of money, just be responsible about what you do have.*Someone with a job, or at least a legitimate plan for life.
