Ok so I am very new to all of this, the online thing and dating in general. Recently out of a long term relationship and admittedly very gun shy. But I am absolutely ready for some good laughs and hopefully some good times!Me...loves to laugh, Huge heart, honest to a fault, extremely dedicated, very loyal, free spirit, passionate, affectionate, Loves hard, HUGE animal lover, addicted to the beach(it helps me breathe easier), believes in treating everyone with kindness and respect unless they give you good reason not to and then you kick their ass, believes in taking good care of your body, you only got one right?! I could go on and on but you are only looking at my pics right?? ; )One of the most important things about me, my job, I am in animal rescue and saving homeless dog's lives is pretty much my life so if you are not a dog/animal lover please don't go any further, sorry!You...brutally honest, knows how to communicate, sweet, funny, treats everyone kindly, not scared to show emotion, easy going, loyal, takes care of your body and of course cute!

Please note: if you have a bunch of shirtless pics on your profile or no pics at all, please don't waste either one of our time. I won't reply. That being said...I have been called, "a really cool girl," "honest and genuine," a bit "old school," a "tough cookie" and a "hard worker." I think all of them are true. I value honesty and goodness over anything else. I always tell the truth and would hope for the same from the people that are close to me. Being a "tough cookie" comes with my profession. I am a middle school English teacher and if you have any experience with teenagers, then you get it. I absolutely LOVE my job. I did not become a teacher for the summer vacations because believe me, it wouldn't be worth it. I do what I do because it just...fits. It's not easy, but very rewarding, TOUGH! So I guess that's where the "hard worker" description comes from. In terms of the "old school" description, I think that old fashion values are underrated. There is something to be said about chivalry on a man's part and affection and attentiveness on a woman's. I will never get tired of a man pulling out a chair or running ahead to hold a door for me or bringing me flowers "just because..." As for the "cool girl" label...I don't ask. I'll just take it! I'd like to think I'm cool. lolThings I love (in no particular order): classic rock,THE BEACH, a positive outlook (you get what you give...),cheeseburgers and beer, roller coasters, quiet confidence, , my dog, a great bottle of wine, kissing, running, a great, comfy pair of jeans, really spicy food, Sunday morning breakfast, boats, high heels, laughing til it hurts, pure kindness, sunrises, thunderstorms, The Beatles, workin out, cooking,(I'm quite good at it) amusement parks, tattoos (I have 4 small, discreet ones)I'm looking to find someone to share the fun and excitement with, a partner in crime, best friend, lover, and ultimately, eventually find "the one." I'm at the point in my life where I'm happy, I'm settled and I'm ready for something more than just another first date. I'm not a serial dater or into endless *** texting. I believe the best way to get to know someone in this crazy online dating world is to send a couple of ***, exchange numbers and make plans to soon meet for coffee or a drink. Why waste time with anything else?So if you are a serial dater or just looking for someone to fill up your weekend with, I'm not the girl for you.I would die happy if I could live at the beach, travel to exciting places a few times a year and have a really good cheeseburger and a beer every now and then. Actually, I'd like to go on a mission to find the best cheeseburger in NY. Any suggestions? I always think a quick meet at first is best...a cup of coffee always works to see if there is any chemistry. If there is, then we can plan a real first date, but let's chat first. You can tell a lot by a telephone conversation. Look forward to talking with you :)

***So I'll stop posting here about "seeing if it works" back to the drawling board! Please only gentleman apply I'm done with guys who talk about sex before we've even decided if we click. I'm not a prude but I'd like to be treated like a lady and not a toy. *steps off soapbox* thanks for reading. Yup, that was me dancing in my car at the traffic light like no one was watching! I have a silly sense of humor, and try to look at the positive sides of a situation first. I have a hard time passing by someone who looks lost without asking them if they need help. I can get up in front of a room full of people and sing karaoke. I'm a registered nurse and work 3 nights a week. On my days off I like to go to restaurants, see movies and explore the area by geocaching (ask if you wanna know). I'd also like to do a scavenger hunt through dc or visit some of the museums. What am I looking for...Someone that will challenge me and teach me new things.Make me laugh and you're my guy. A goofy/sarcastic sense of humor is great too. Someone who will let me hold onto them, and protect me (of course) while we watch movies about ghosts or something paranormal.Someone who will hang out with me and my friends for a night of board games, or cuddle with me on the couch.Someone that likes to try different foods, because i love to cook, and like to have someone to cook for.Someone who would watch me sing karaoke would be cool, but he doesn't need to sing too. (but ohhh that would be a bonus)I have an almost 5-year-old son who has a great personality. I am looking for something with potential to become serious. I'm not at all interested in a "hook-up".I do have a preference to date Caucasian men. I hope this doesn't offend anyone but I believe honesty is important. Did you read my profile? We can talk about this once we've had the chance to find out more about each other. It could be something as simple as meeting at panera for a drink.
