Six words to describe me... fun, smart, independent, confident, honest, and encouraging. Although my career is very important to me, I really try to find a good balance in life. Being mostly open minded and trying new things are qualities that I want to have in a relationship. I know myself very well and try to surround myself with others with the same self-awareness. I would describe myself as a "floater," meaning I hang out with all types of people and can be hanging out in many different types of social scenes. I enjoy cooking as well as dining out, but I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants. My musical interests are all over the place from hip-hop to bluegrass. I don't really have anything else to say at the moment...maybe a little mystery is a good thing... I would be interested in a first mini-date. I think it is important that relationships progress in a natural way, so meeting for a coffee or for ***drinks is probably a good start for me. I feel this gives both parties a chance to feel the other person out, just in case one or both of you want to classify the meeting as a friendship or talk about an official date. For the official date, I would love to be surprised.

I am outgoing. I like to get things done. I'm a hard worker, but will always make time to have fun. I have a good sense of humor. I am affectionate. I've always been very independent, but am not opposed to having a guy who is strong enough for me lean on him if need be.I teach first grade and have an occasional second job, so life is busy, but that's no excuse not to meet someone. I love adventure and having a great time, just for it's own sake, but meeting someone and building a relationship is a priority, so I hope you would feel the same way. **i probably won't answer anyone who classifies themselves as "casual dating/no commitment". Too much quantity, not enough quality.**Even though texting is great for during the work day when I can't talk, too much texting is a waste of time. Let's talk and then let's meet!A few guidelines for who I am looking for:Best age would be 30s thru early 40s.Someone who is established in their career.Someone who wishes they had a great girl to share life with.I like to....Work in my yard, play poker, watch tv, go for walks, go do about anything around town, go out on the lake when I am able, and eat out! I watch sports (mostly football, but I'll go to any live game willingly, except golf...no golf) and drink beer. I want to learn to scuba dive. My brother got me interested in kayaking. I don't mind a little hiking & camping, but nothing too rugged. Where do I like to go?Locally? Please, recommend some places! I have been in a rut.I like to go/would like to go... to festivals in town, to Martinis at IMAX (Fernbank), Braves games, zoo or aquarium, museums, etc. I am pretty open to suggestion.I like country and pop music, and some oldies and classic rock.I hope to hear from you. Well, refer to the above, about where I like to go, but it doesnt really matter; I just want to have a nice time and get to know you.

how can one establish an accurate impression of another based solely on the text in a profile?words are meaningless without solid proof as to their validity. Can one really sum themselves up in a few paragraphs, trying to outline the essence of who we are on a page is like trying to paint a sunset using only a pen.....you may get the general impression, but the true beauty cannot be revealed.sorry guys, no longer single so no longer looking for anything i do not wish to find a relationship, nor do i want a one night "hookup"i would love to find a friend that i can talk with, hopefullyhang out if we enjoy each others company. i offer no promises beyond the fact that i will never deceive nor hurt anyone, and will be upfront with where they stand or if i have any interest beyond chatting.please do not bring jealousy, control issues, aggression, or ex-partner drama near me.one thing i dont like is the inevitable "do you want to ask me anything?"...if i am interested in any aspect of you i will ask about it. if not id rather just let the conversation flow than force it with questions :/ again, not me being rude, just honestly not knowing what to say to that question :/
