About Me

I'm a dancing fool, free flowing, go with the flow type of gal. Music is extremely important in my life. I went to school for flute performance, and now run a youth orchestra. Types of music I like include classical, jazz, reggae, hip hop, rap, bluegrass, electropop, techno, rock, jam band types, avante garde, folk. I'm sure there's more. I love to go out to shows and check out new types of music. I don't believe in the phrase, "I like every kind of music except for country", and you can ask me why I believe it's contradictory to everyone's musical tastes. I have a very resonant voice and always assume that everyone can hear whatever I'm saying. This helps to keep me in check so I don't say anything negative about others (or at least try not to). Although I'm not religious, I like to live by the principles of Buddhism and karma - what goes around comes around. The Art of Happiness by the Dali Lama is one of my favorite books. I'm really interested in how individuals function together in society and believe that birth order and astrological sign influence behavior along with many other personal attributes. You think that astrology is malarkey? That's totally cool, but I'll still read you your birth chart.An extreme extrovert, I am really good at bringing my friends together and meeting new people. I love to have everyone over to my house and cook for them. I really love to cook Indian and Mediterranean food, but I don't limit my cooking to just those types of food.     I know what you're thinking...there are no normal, down-to-earth girls out there. I beg to differ on that one though! I don't get worked up about things unless it's absolutely necessary...like say if someone messes with my mom or something! Speaking of family, they are number one to me. Even though I don't live near them I try to get home as often as I can to "warm and sunny".. And let's face it, they think their aunt from NYC is the coolest...let's see how long this lasts (they are all under the age of 8)!; NYC that I consider to be my second family.
