I’m trying online dating again after taking some time off. I finally have time in my life now for a relationship, and I’d really like to share the awesome activities in which I participate with a significant other. I really love my career, and work is important to me. I work hard because I enjoy it, but I also like to go out and have fun (or stay in and do the same).I am the type of person who likes to keep moving. My number one hobby is volleyball; I like to play whenever I can find the time & place. I coached volleyball in the past (when I was a teacher) and now I get to dedicate my time to playing the game I love. I just joined an Ultimate Frisbee team this summer, and I thoroughly enjoy the competition that provides. Running is also a passion of mine; I’ve completed 2 half marathons, 2 full marathons, 1 Ragnar Relay, and I am signed up to complete Tough Mudder this September. Even though I like sports and staying busy, I have come to learn that there is a time and a place for taking it easy, and I appreciate those moments. I am blunt, (no need to read my mind, I'll tell you what's on it most of the time), occasionally sarcastic (okay, almost always sarcastic), enjoy life to its fullest, hate drama, and I love my family and my faith; if you have similar qualities, then let's talk.Some of the most important aspects for which I am looking for in a significant other: someone who takes care of themselves inside and out, someone who knows how to cook and can experiment with me in the kitchen, someone who enjoys their career but also knows how to leave their work at work, and someone willing to communicate and compromise in a relationship. Also, it would be nice if that person loves to laugh (and doesn’t take themselves too seriously) and has their own aspirations. Lastly, if you’re interested, let me know that you’ve taken the time to read at least some of this information that I took the time to write. I like the first date (and all the rest) to be fun- usually a "spontaneous" type of activity. I was into indoor wall/rock climbing (and would love to get back into it), and I did that once as a second date. I do not like the typical "dinner and a movie" type of date, because I am not a conventional type of person. Anything unusual (but not scary-unusual) is ideal- playing volleyball, rollerblading, cliff-diving...get the picture? :)

I am a single mother of 3...and though raising them is priority 1, being a mother isn't my sole identity. And when I date, you won't date my children. That's reserved for someone super special down the road. Now that THAT'S cleared up....I'm very independent because I've had to be, but after being divorced for 4 years it comes with the territory. I currently work evenings (have for 3 years) but only plan to do that until the year is up then move from vampire hours into the daylight. So my time is limited, but I will make time for someone special and patient enough with my unusual schedule. Though im comfortable being single...it just sucks man. I'm human I get lonely...and not just company for a night. Love would be a many splendid thing. I enjoy watching sports (no...for real...i do) top favorites in order are football, basketball, mma, baseball. love to cook, find it very therapeutic and love sharing a nice meal with friends and family. Someone to pour love and affection into and to receive it back. Games? I don't play them except for the kinds made by hasboro. Drama? Don't tolerate it, don't subscribe to it. I love to read, play board games (if I have ppl to play with!), MUSIC is a big part of who I am...I like many different types: jazz, bluegrass, rock, reggae, metal, 80's! I love art and beauty and nature. I love to try unknown restaurants or pubs and see whats out there in the area. I have lived in many places all over the world. I am having a hard time meeting people here. Most people are too young, too "old", married, or have 50 babies or cannot hold a conversation. No offense! I have a teenage son who doesn't not live with me at the moment. I am separated, my husband is not living in this state and we intend to divorce. Some shows I like: Parks and Recreation, Master Chef, Arrested Development. I DO NOT like those dumbass reality shows like Dancing with the Idiots or those singing shows. I'm not big on shopping. I'm kind of a hippie in spirit, I guess...a bit of a Libertarian in politics, though I'm not really into politics. I like candles that smell good :) I smoke but would like to quit. I think marijuana should be legal. I drink occasionally but usually get tired from one or two drinks, lol. My goal is to make some friends and do some fun things while I'm here :) Ask me to check out a band with you, a restaurant you'd like to try, coffee and dessert at a book store...who knows? :)
