About Me

Thanks to help from family, I now have a sunroom overlooking the water and a 'woman cave' in the works in the basement. I like baking, sometimes cooking but I'd rather be playing Rock Band and let someone else do the cooking LOL. Ok, I can compromise, so we cook together and then play Rock Band together. This is my new favorite winter hobby ... learning to play an *** vocals. My body can no longer handle the cold weather... brrr. I do like to traveI and would aspire to spend a month or two in a warm climate in the winter. I love exploring.I am happy, intelligent, witty, goofy, playful, caring, responsible and a community volunteer.Good things happen to me because I choose to focus on .... good things! LOL.I am a people person, love meeting new people and hope to travel more in the futureI like playing on the lake all summer - swimming, boating, reading a book, bird watching, watching my brother fish...I love eating vegetables grown in my garden and am building a perennial garden with pathways.I'm a very casual, earthy girl who also loves to get dressed up for an occasional dinner out.I spend a lot of time with family and sometimes travel to see them. I live in a nice house and have nice things but I'm not perfect, I don't expect you to be perfect.I don't care what you drive or what you own. I care about who you are and what you have done with your life and intend to do in the future.I have many interests and I have listed them all before, but I think that just confused people. I have experienced a lot in the 51 years that I have been here. Life is always expanding, growing, learning and I am interested in participating rather than watching. What have you been doing for the past 40, 50, or 60 years?I am retired from the software industry and after a short stint buying and selling antiques, I'm now sticking with buying jewelry wholesale which I sell on eBay and rent space in a local store. This is 'fun' money. I am financially stable and love living a simple lifestyle. I volunteer for 2 non-profits and do whatever I can to help from painting, fiberglassing and sweeping floors to building and updating websites! I am thankful to have the opportunity to meet and talk to new people!I would love to find a man with integrity and intelligence (can't stress that enough - my daughter is a Fulbright Scholar). A man who is positive, loving and wants to have fun, laugh, and finds the silver lining in all situations. Drama and games are not allowed in my life. If we are not a match then we should move on because .... there are plenty of fish ;)I am looking for a longterm, serious relationship but would love to start it out with some casual conversation and get to know each other. No pressure, no expectations. I am always at my best near the ocean, water, outdoors, mountains, etc. Something simple like meet at a pub with an outdoor band... lol. We'll figure it out!

    Hi, I'm definitely my toughest critic so this may be difficult. My friends would describe me as fun, sincere, intelligent and loyal to a fault. Family and friends are very important to me; my best friends ***have been around since kindergarten!! I'm pretty easy going and like most things, at least willing to try things once.     I want to start by saying that the three things that keep a long lasting relationship with me is communication, honesty and trust. I basically am an open book. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET no reading in between the lines . I like to treat people the same as I would like to be treated. No games, gossip or drama here. Keep it real and simple . Relationships take time and I`m in no rush . I recently lost my sig. other to lung cancer alit over a yr. ago. He was my best friend and, it is because of him I am the person I am today. Independent ,5 yrs. sober and comfortable in my own skin. I was once lost and now I`m found .The lord is carrying me and, there is only one set of footprints in the sand . I have faith . I see the glass ***full and I`m usually optimistic . I have learned so much in life and am still doing so. I realize that I was once very attractive on the outside and so ugly on the in side ,I used my looks to get what ever I wanted and did not even blink an eye to whom I was hurting .I was cold and selfish . Today, well .... I have wrinkles, crows feet salt and pepper hair soft skin, upper denture and a parcel on the bottom "THATS RIGHT " I thought id throw that out there. "TOLD YOU THAT I WAS HONEST lololol. I have to tell you ..... its all good ! SO GENTELMEN IF YOUR LOOKIN FOR BARBIE .....I wish you well. however if your looking for a companion ,an independent , down to earth cool chick "so I been told . someone to laugh and keep you comfortable in my presence "then I may be that girl. I also have 4 tattoos "their oldies". don't mind cycles and I do go to church on Sunday "; pastor Fred is pretty cool and I am meeting a few decent people there . I have a mortgage and a full time job Ii am a bakery mgr.9 yrs. with the same company.
