About Me

I want to start by saying that the three things that keep a long lasting relationship with me is communication, honesty and trust. I basically am an open book. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET no reading in between the lines . I like to treat people the same as I would like to be treated. No games, gossip or drama here. Keep it real and simple . Relationships take time and I`m in no rush . I recently lost my sig. other to lung cancer alit over a yr. ago. He was my best friend and, it is because of him I am the person I am today. Independent ,5 yrs. sober and comfortable in my own skin. I was once lost and now I`m found .The lord is carrying me and, there is only one set of footprints in the sand . I have faith . I see the glass ***full and I`m usually optimistic . I have learned so much in life and am still doing so. I realize that I was once very attractive on the outside and so ugly on the in side ,I used my looks to get what ever I wanted and did not even blink an eye to whom I was hurting .I was cold and selfish . Today, well .... I have wrinkles, crows feet salt and pepper hair soft skin, upper denture and a parcel on the bottom "THATS RIGHT " I thought id throw that out there. "TOLD YOU THAT I WAS HONEST lololol. I have to tell you ..... its all good ! SO GENTELMEN IF YOUR LOOKIN FOR BARBIE .....I wish you well. however if your looking for a companion ,an independent , down to earth cool chick "so I been told . someone to laugh and keep you comfortable in my presence "then I may be that girl. I also have 4 tattoos "their oldies". don't mind cycles and I do go to church on Sunday "; pastor Fred is pretty cool and I am meeting a few decent people there . I have a mortgage and a full time job Ii am a bakery mgr.9 yrs. with the same company.     First of all, I think that intent question is too black or white! Let me clarify...I am not into serial dating at all, but am not necessarily on the hunt for a relationship. Now about me.....hmmmmm I am a relatively busy single mom. I have an 18 year old son and soon, my time will be all mine. I am friendly, funny, and basically spunky. I have a fairly warped sense of humor. I work out about 5 days a week and am in good shape. I can't decide if I'm athletic, or average, or thin. I think it's all relative. I'm kind of little and cute, I'm told. I didn't have that option.Things I like are movies, (theater & snuggling at home), checking out new restaurants, live music, traveling, window shopping, red wine, politics, and definitely goofing off. Since I've been on this site, I have rediscovered that I actually really like writing. I dream of seeing more of the world someday when my son is safely in college. Previous plans were derailed by children! Yikes! I am enjoying meeting new friends, some dating and if it develops into a hot new romance, cool. Eventually, something more permanent is no longer off the table. At first, I had no interest in a serious relationship, but after 6 years, it's not quite so scary. This is actually scarier now!I enjoy a somewhat warped sense of humor. ;)I will not reply if you don't have a photo.I always wonder why the person who gives a glowing testimonial of somebody on a profile is not dating THAT person?!Another thing I wonder is why so many people do not post a photo? I generally assume that they are frightfully ugly. (I think that you probably think that too!)Or else you have a secret and don't want to be seen. So post a photo please.     Any time outside is a fun time. I like most foods from burgers to sushi, and chocolate, dark chocolate, and chocolate fondue. A sense of humor adds to the fun times so any activities that involve laughing are things I want to do. But don't get me wrong, I like movies, hockey, or a great legal thriller to read during those rainy days.
