I'm generally upbeat and looking at the positive side of life. One friend calls me Pollyanna, but I think I'm pretty realistic. I read a lot, spend time with friends, enjoy good healthy food, the occasional wine, walk my dogs, garden. I enjoy and appreciate beauty in design, nature, music.)on the car radio. I like jazz if I'm in the mood for it. Loathe rap. I like to travel, but no more big cities for me. I have a mid-century home I'm constantly working to improve, ***acre yard I enjoy working in, and I spend a lot of time outdoors with my dogs. I would like companionship with an intelligent, educated gentleman who is confident, even tempered, with a good sense of humor, who is active and his own version of successful. I've often thought the ideal first date would be a canoe trip: If two people can survive that with good cheer, they can survive anything! But perhaps meeting for a cup of coffee or a drink some evening is a bit more practical. And if that goes well and there is some mutual interest, then probably a nice but low pressure dinner out. Or some activity where we'd get to hang out and talk and get to know each other.
