I enjoy live performances, be it music, comedy, plays, sports etc. I respect our planet and don't abuse it, but other than that I am not a 'save the whales' type. I prefer substance over hype, just sayin'. I have been on my own and have raised my two children for several years. I am independent and not a terribly needy person. That said, I enjoy being treated well. Who doesn't? I am an empty nester and while raising my children were some of the best years of my life, i've been there, done that. nuff said.Please don't be offended if I don't respond. Sometimes it just doesn't work for whatever reason, be it distance, interests, chemistry, etc... All the best. Maybe a glass of wine or something in a relaxed setting.

I hate this part not good at talking about my self, my friends which BTW are the best friends anyone could have, would say I'm funny , generous, nice, honest and probably just a nut. I like to have fun, even at work..I enjoy giving to others which I do frequently just my thing,I usually well not entirely true I always put others needs and wants before myself, not always a smart move.. Sincerely me I think a first date that involved some fun activity perhaps one could teach the other or something like riding the zip line which I have never done and is way out of my comfort zone, or riding in a hot air balloon that one just came too me, Rock climbing also never done, time to step out of my comfort zone and live, want to do it with my new best friend. I'm generally upbeat and looking at the positive side of life. One friend calls me Pollyanna, but I think I'm pretty realistic. I would like companionship with an intelligent, educated gentleman who is confident, even tempered, with a good sense of humor, who is active and his own version of successful. I've often thought the ideal first date would be a canoe trip: If two people can survive that with good cheer, they can survive anything! But perhaps meeting for a cup of coffee or a drink some evening is a bit more practical. And if that goes well and there is some mutual interest, then probably a nice but low pressure dinner out. Or some activity where we'd get to hang out and talk and get to know each other.
