About Me

I grew up in the country in Southwestern Va. (very close to Tenn.)I'm old fashioned in some ways and not, in others!I like to be outdoors, even if just for a walk. Like to go to the Rocks state Park and sit at the King and Queen seats, the view is amazing!I like most types of music, especially classic rock.Also love Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley. I have a 23 yr. old son. He's a good kid. Works hard. Plays drums.I love to travel. Have seen some of the U.S. I've stayed at 5 star resorts & I've traveled "on a shoe string". It doesn't matter to me, it's the experience that counts! When I travel I tell the cab driver to take me where he would go. I have seen and done some "interesting" things that way. Also,enjoy meeting the locals that way. My 5 yr. I enjoy baking, cooking, especially on the grill. (I didn't say I was good, just said I enjoy:) I have a green thumb, plants have taken over my house! He's great! (And we're the exact same weight)Love boats and Harleys. (I have neither.Yet)I read books, not a Kindle. Books just feel better in my hands. Follow politics and current events. Much more interesting than reality shows.I like to get out in the country, the woods, the beach. Or go out with friends to hear music. I'm a free spirit. People say I have a great sense of humor. I have a serious side too. I like museums, the theatre and ANYTHING to do with history. But staying in can be great with the RIGHT person! I'm very Patriotic. I'm very curious, love to learn!! Am taking more pre-reqs for a better job in the medical field. It's a waste of time and I lose interest. *** (Some people have nothing better to do, but I do) I'm here to meet someone for a relationship, not just "something to do" (like entertainment) If your pictures are so old I wouldn't recognize you...... No thanks, I don't want to go to your website and buy your book. Can't believe how many men are on here hawking their books. If you say you don't want any drama (what an overused line) ....you're usually the one with the drama. For all the commitment phobes, don't flatter yourself. It's a DATING site, not a "Hey I like his picture, marry me site", so relax :)Ok, sorry if that sounds negative, but some of these guys profiles....lol A place we could hear ourselves talk but not so quiet we could hear the crickets if there's a lull in the conversation. Hopefully we would've "chatted" enough to know that wouldn't happen! Music is always good!

I cannot respond to every mail so I apologize for my rudeness in advance if I don't get back to you. In all sincerity, I would love to meet me just in the opposite sex. My life would be fulfilled. Positive, healthy, outgoing, caring, strong, independent, stable, loyal and loving. Lots of loving. Please don't tell me you have something to tell me....like your still married but its almost over....like you are older than your age (funny thing, never a time when the age was older). I realize you didn't tell the truth because you were thinking......she will never date me if I tell the truth...and you are right.....but PLEASE tell the truth. It makes you out to be a liar before I even know you. I suppose these things should be a great filter for me....oh the damn blonde in me right...... If your looking for someone younger, go there. Don't waste your time on me...I'm obviously not what you are looking for....I'm simply too old. I don't lie and honesty will get you everywhere and lying will get us nowhere. (sigh)....but besides that, I don't need a fancy dinner and roses if you don't even know me....keep it simple and friendly. I am always happy meeting new people.
