Hello! I am employed and I enjoy my job..., most of the time. I try to keep things pretty simple with a positive attitude on life..., and always try to live by the Golden Rule. I am Spiritual and belong to a fellowship. In the summer you would find me on the beach with my girlfriends...in the winter I am happiest with snow on the ground...or looking for it in the mountains. I prefer being outdoors. Traveling is part of me, German Father and Guyanese Mother saw to that...now I would like to try for more of Europe, maybe Thailand. I have a cousin living there for the next few years. Life for me is simple and I avoid drama at all cost. I never had children but have been blessed to have had and have many of them as a constant in my life ... I'm not sure how it happened...but my life has been full because of them! I believe that I am perfectly imperfect and my friends tell me that I am a Good Listener, Respectful, Trustworthy, Understanding, Funny, Curious and Infectiously Happy. I believe a healthy relationship is being able to show your feelings, all of them..and..I believe in the three C's, Conversation, Compassion and Compromise. I'm adventurous and still a bit of a thrill seeker, I like to drive fast ;). Although, I am at the time of my life where it just takes takes a bit longer to recover. My search is about a desire, not a need. What is most important to me is about sharing our hopes and dreams together..., being supportive to each other & cherish our lives where we can achieve our goals with endless possibilities. A partner that can give freely of themselves, and appreciates the same in return. I believe we should be both students and teachers so we both can learn from each other and other's in our lives. I am looking for someone who is realistic and down to earth and wants to live a wonderful life. It's not about what you have or don't have, it's what is in your heart and how you treat others that will show who you really are. And yes, let's be honest, chemistry is important to everyone and we all have our taste..., prefer athletic average or a little husky types. I know what I appreciate and also know what I don't want. Life is to short for Games, and it just becomes to disheartening. It's not what we get out of the relationship that counts... it is what we bring into it that gives it life. I know we are not all perfect, we are human and desire that Special Someone. FAITH, HOPE and LOVE..., But The Greatest Of These Is LOVE. As for likes and dislikes...practically everything is in the like column except dancing...I was not blessed with rhythm...I will always give it a shot though, not to proud to give it a shake! I love most music, ...and I enjoy singing too...although, once again, was not blessed in that area either.     I'm beginning to wonder if this is ever going to work, but where else do you meet someone when you are in an elementary school all day and don't frequent bars?... I am a special education teacher. Love my job. I am also an outdoors person... do not like to be stuck inside. I love the beach, as much as the woods, camping (I graduated from a tent long ago), hiking, traveling, having a beer at a little dive near the water, riding my Harley ( but I do not fall into the "Harley chick" category). I consider myself low maintenance-- I don't dye my hair and I hate to shop. I am comfortable with who I am--meaning- I try to be the best me I can. Have been a special education teacher for 15 years and love teaching. There is a special place in my heart for children with special needs. Laughter and a sense of humor are very important to me-- they have steered me through many a difficult situation.Raised three boys (pretty much alone - now do you see why my hair is this color? LOL!). Two who are Air Force-needless to say I am very patriotic. Support our military men and women, but I don't do politics. I do not need a man to take care of me-I own my own home, car and have a good job, however, I would love a man to share life with. I have a lot to give to the right person. I understand the balance of having a solid relationship and still maintaining your independence. I have edited my profile a couple times, but now I realize the person who will compliment my life is out there, somewhere. If it is meant to be on here, he will find me.PS: If you say you want a relationship, but don't have the time to devote to building it, then I am not the woman for you. I'm not asking you to give up your freedom, independence, house, friends.     I have a great sense of humor, enjoy laughing and having a good time. I enjoy reading and learning about the world. I love getting out and doing things and I also love doing things around the house. I like refinishing old furniture, I'm not an expert by any means. I take pride in my appearance but I don't always eat as healthy as I should. I've maintained two careers over the past twenty years, working towards my goal of living the good life. Finding a place where we can relax and make small talk over coffee or a drink would be an ideal first date. No matter how young or old we are first dates are always a little nerve racking. If everything goes well over coffee/drink, then we can decide where to go from there.
