About Me

I am a very caring, down to earth person, soft-spoken and I do not judge people. I am genuine with my thoughts and feelings. I am not wild and crazy but sometimes I can be!!! Little things in life mean a lot to me as I've been through a lot (as I'm sure weall have been at some point in our lives). I do not need a lot of materialistic things to get through life. Again, little things aremost important.... friends, having close relationships, a smile, kindness to one another. Keeping the Lord close to your hearthelps with that happiness. You'll usually see me with a smile on my face and a positive attitude and a bubbly personality....I love to travel... U.S. and abroad, love cruises too! Ice Hockey is one of my favorites (watching that is) and enjoy watching most sports in general. I do like to stay active as I like to stay in shape. I play co-ed volleyball, enjoy camping, riding bikes, going to the beach or themountains.... but I really like the beach! I am almost always willing to try something at least once.I have grown children now. One in college and one in her last years of high school. It is now time for me to start living my life andinvesting time with someone special. Hopefully to spend the rest of my life with (him).I believe a strong friendship can only lead to having a strong relationship that could last a lifetime. I believe it is important to get toknow a person as a friend first. Life is too short to spend it alone. Why not spend it with someone that could possibly make you happy?     I like to travel and see new places, meet new people, experience new cultures... I love to be near the water, whether it's a beach, a lake or simply a creek. I read a lot on the rare occasion I'm relaxing; however, I'm rather high energy (naturally). Do NOT enjoy being lazy (or around laziness). I lost my husband (and soul-mate) of 20 years in ***and I have taken time to grieve, but now I'm ready to move on and live life to the fullest!!! I have a job I absolutely love and two wonderful daughters that have blessed me with three grandsons so far, but I'm sure hoping to get a granddaughter too, though it's looking like it'll be a great-granddaughter, and I'm definitely TOO young for that just yet - LOL!!! I enjoy most any genre of music with the exception of rap and opera. Like to watch a good movie - mostly comedy, as I love to laugh!!! What I enjoy most is being able to go out dancing, at least once a month - NOT at all into the bar scene, just like to dance, so I tend to go in, dance for an hour or two and leave - it's my stress reliever!!! I'm a "smiler" - would rather be smiling than anything else!!! Don't enjoy drama and avoid it as much as is possible!!!Enough rambling - if interested, mail me and we will see what happens!?!Happy Hunting!!! Something, such as dinner or meet at a Starbucks to just meet and see if you can carry on an intelligent and stimulating conversation (intelligence is VERY attractive to me). Maybe a walk on the beach/lake? Basically an environment that is conducive to conversation so that we could get to know each other better and find out if there is any sort of connection to pursue!?! Don't want to waste my time or yours!!!
