Hello all...hope you're enjoying your experience on meetville. At 50, I am trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up. Don't get me wrong, I am a professional. I'm self sufficient and I don't NEED anyone to take care of me. I work two jobs and am very involved with my extended family. I love children and music. A smile from an innocent child or a great song can fix anything...well, almost. I have been single for many years and have become very independent. When I think of a relationship I have mixed emotions. There are times when I wish I had someone around but most of the time the thought of a relationship scares the hell out of me. Why?? Because I have been doing my own thing without having to consider anyone else for a long time. I guess you could say I have become one of the most selfish, unselfish people in the world! I know, makes a lot of sense, huh? I am sure those of you around my age know exactly what I'm talking about if you've been out of a relationship for any time at all.I mainly listen to country music but love the 70's and 80's music, too. I am one of those people who get on your nerves because I sing along with almost every song that comes on. I am not a country girl, although, some of the most fun I have had has been riding on the back of a 4- My idea of camping would be in a fully functional camper or cabin! No tents please!! I have an issue with alcohol. If you think you need to drink daily, weekly, etc then this will not work for us. I believe there is much more to life that having to worry about where the effects of alcohol will take you, me or our relationship. An occational ( I realize that term is relative) drink is OK but it need not be something that happens regularly.I love spending time with family and friends. I will always spend time with family and friends.....they need, they call, I go. Just a part of my personality.Going to stop writing for now. I will be happy to answer specific questions if you have them. Thanks for reading my profile and best of luck in your search for happiness!!! Somewhere public and without alcohol! Oops, here I go already with my strong viewpoints!!

Woman. 53 years old. Zodiac sign: Taurus.
Looking for: man. In age: 50-60
I enjoy swimming and volleyball for my group exercise. I like going to new places, near and far, seeing and experiencing new things. I appreciate a night sky full of stars and un-ending landscapes of beauty. I'm PADI certified in Scuba, but haven't dived for a few years. I love being on, in, or near any water. My date MUST enjoy this too. I am fun loving, enjoy meeting people, yet appreciate my quiet time with someone special. My youngest child is over 18. I am ready to seek out my next path. I prefer someone who is not highly competitive and is able to laugh at themselves and their shortcomings. I enjoy being independent at times but also would love sharing the couch for a good movie, or a walk or boat ride with you. I like my night out with the girls and need that breather in a relationship. It seems the older I get the more I like warm destinations! My ideal living arrangement would be to live in MN ***of the year or less and have a place south for the winter to escape to at retirement. My taste in music is all over the board except I really can't take opera or rap for too long but I try to appreciate.I would love to find someone special who is taller than me so I can look you in the eyes on my tiptoes. I want to find someone that can make me smile from ear to ear. Life is too interesting to spend it alone. I would love to share our discoveries together. If there is someone out there who is patient, funny, endearing and has no current alcohol or drug baggage, then I would love to hear from you! Well, the first "meet and greets" don't count as a date for me. So if we decided to set a real date, I would enjoy a quiet time, or anyplace we could talk without too much background noise. In the summer, maybe a burger/beer on a restaurant deck, or an outdoor patio setting. In the winter, anyplace warm!
