I’ve been a widow now for a little over 4 years. Quite simply I no longer want to be alone. I’m ready to share the companionship and intimacy of a quality relationship. I love the smell of freshly cut grass and Stargazer Lilies.I love road trips…the highway is in my blood! I like to do almost anything that involves water...boating, swimming, hot tubs, and kayaking (only done this once and thoroughly enjoyed it). I would much rather swim than sweat!I enjoy cooking for someone that loves food. I enjoy watching musicians perform their craft. I DON’T play games!!! I would ask the same in return. Being emotionally available is essential. Any enduring relationship begins with at least a few common interests, chemistry, and friendship. These are the avenues we investigate through dating, communicating, and spending time together. If a long term relationship develops its a wonderful thing. If not, at least we have found a friend worth having in our lives.Becoming a widow has taught me to never take anything...and especially anyone...for granted. I especially love the sound of the breeze as it passes through the branches, the scent of the forest and the peacefulness it brings to my spirit. Few things delight the senses like the smell of a campfire. Please note: I DON’T DO TENTS!!I would rather share conversation over dinner, coffee or a glass of wine *** a movie, and prefer watching that movie all tangled up together on the couch.My friends tell me I am a “special” woman. I sometimes wonder just exactly what THAT is supposed to mean?!! I think I have a pretty good sense of humor; sometimes clever. Usually intelligent and believe myself to be articulate enough to carry my end of the conversation.I appreciate the hand holding and stolen kisses of a living romance…the tender touches and meaningful glances of shared affection.     It is important to me to laugh each and every day (cliché, but true), so I am definitely of good humor, have a great sense of humor, and am looking for someone who enjoys laughing at and with me. I do not get hung up on age differences since I believe once you are thirty-something, your personality is pretty well established and the playing field is leveled. I was married briefly, but have no children.I work hard when needed. I also relish those lazy days and definitely know how to relax, enjoy and play. I am always up for new places, new people, new activities or just hanging out and going nowhere special. I am pretty easy to please and appreciate simple pleasures as well as adventures, planned events as well as spontaneous ones.I have opinions and am passionate about some, but do not like conflict, so I tend to pick my battles. I would much rather laugh than fight and will often choose to walk away when I don’t think it is worth a fight. In other words, drama and the dramatic are not my things.I love to scuba dive, prefer warm water and am partial to the Caribbean reefs and waters. I love stand-up comedy, theater, live music and live performances. I am a huge football fan and love watching professional football. I grew up with it and it is in my DNA!
