I have been single for a while, by choice. I am looking for the right guy and I am willing to take my time. I do not generally write back to the "wants to meet you". I don't always respond to inquires (not because I am being mean) but I may have read something in your profile that did not appeal to me. I also look at distance as criteria for dating. You're not going to want to travel over an hour every time we want to date. I'm being realistic. Don't be a hater. It is what it is. I am a single mother of two girls (one home; one on her own) and they are a big part of my life. However, being a happy person with their own life means knowing how to balance motherhood and personal time for yourself. I think I do manage to balance my life and that makes me a very happy person. I am very independent and self sufficient, HOWEVER, that does not mean that I do not need a man in my life. I do. I need HIM to complete me (yes the movie was right). Many things I can do for myself, but a man in my life will make me feel like a woman, give me someone that I strive to make happy and I would love the big warm safe arms wrapped around me. I am very versatile. I enjoy trying anything at least once before I make a decision whether or not I like it or not. This includes foods, music, activities, travel and many other things. I don't like to limit myself to a box......so I am always excited about trying new things.The photos of myself are mostly current. A couple are from last year. I think you should post a current picture. Posting pictures from the past are not good when you go for that first date and you can''t find the person and they are right in front of you. This is the first step to honesty. I love the weather. I love the outdoor adventures that you can partake in because we have great weather. Not fond of the cold, but I can ski and make a snowman if needed. I take weekend trips with girl friend whenever we can afford it or get a weekend to do it in. It's fun to get away. I hope this explains a little about who I am and what I like to do. And good luck in your endeavors. I want to go somewhere we can talk and see if we have the chemistry to go farther.     I've been on other websites and I don't like to read 3 pages of a description so let me make this short and sweet. I have two grown sons who no longer live with me and have families of their own. So yes I am a grandmother and it's the best. I am a professional and have worked at my job for over 22 years. I am not that tied down to it and can take time off just about whenever I want to . I have 2 dogs that mean a lot to me but they are way too big to carry around in my purse. I hope to retire eventually and look forward to doing some more traveling. So much to see. I love the outdoors, dining out, the beach (who doesn't love the beach but if you don't it maybe a deal breaker), mountains, lakes, skiing, walking, riding my bike and at times just like staying home. I love coffee, wine, fro yo but not crazy about sushi (Ok I will eat vegetable/crab rolls and I do like cooked fish). I love roller coasters, Disneyland, county fairs, concerts, car shows, Baseball, Hockey and motocross. I love animals, kids, movies and gardens. I am at times too passive but will stand up for what is right. I am loving, nurturing and forgiving. I am respectful, honest and a good teammate/friend. I guess that is enough for now. It might just be for a one hour coffee and conversation or lunch. If we both feel a connection then we can move on from there.
