I'm not very good talking about myself, but here goes! I love the mountains; hiking is just one of my favorite pastimes, along with "trying" to fly fish, I just had my first lesson. I like visiting the beach, cooking, baking, entertaining during the holidays, Christmas is my favorite time of year. I LOVE shooting...trap, skeet, 5 stand, sporting clays...just about any sport that involves shooting a gun...guess you could say I'm a little addicted!!!. I like all types of music; going to concerts. I'm inspired by helping people; mission work is another passion of mine;I feel it's extremely important to stay healthy, I do that by going to the gym at least 3 times a week, everything in moderation of course. For the most part, I eat healthy, but I do indulge in a juicy steak, bake potato, YES! with all the trimmings! I'm not much on sweets...chips and salsa, Oh yes!! That would be me... :-)

It is important to me to laugh each and every day (cliché, but true), so I am definitely of good humor, have a great sense of humor, and am looking for someone who enjoys laughing at and with me. I am extremely playful (I love that word and all of its many connotations) and good natured (unless I am in a hurry and someone is driving like an idiot in front of me....then hopefully you are not within earshot as I may no longer sound like much of a lady ;-)). Life can be overwhelmingly serious or sublimely humorous. I choose the latter whenever possible. Don't get me wrong, I am very responsible (well, at least reasonably responsible) and behave within the social guidelines (publicly ;-)...but love to invoke a chuckle or smile whenever I can.I love the outdoors and to photograph and admire the beauty that surrounds us. I take care of myself, eat healthy and am healthy. I am honest (but tactful), not a flake, smarter than most...some...average, dependable and try my best to do what I say I am going to do, call when I say I will call and honor commitments. I try to treat others as I want to be treated, with respect, warmth, understanding…and a smile. (unless....refer to idiot drivers above)I am very young at heart and feel much younger than my age. I do not get hung up on age differences since I believe once you are thirty-something, your personality is pretty well established and the playing field is leveled. I was married briefly, but have no children.I work hard when needed. I also relish those lazy days and definitely know how to relax, enjoy and play. I am always up for new places, new people, new activities or just hanging out and going nowhere special. I am pretty easy to please and appreciate simple pleasures as well as adventures, planned events as well as spontaneous ones.I have opinions and am passionate about some, but do not like conflict, so I tend to pick my battles. I would much rather laugh than fight and will often choose to walk away when I don’t think it is worth a fight. In other words, drama and the dramatic are not my things.I love to scuba dive, prefer warm water and am partial to the Caribbean reefs and waters. I love stand-up comedy, theater, live music and live performances. I am a huge football fan and love watching professional football. I grew up with it and it is in my DNA! I love going to a sports bar on Sunday to catch the games (and/or Monday and/or Thursday ;-).But wait....there's more! You just have to ask....

So, this is the new way to meet people, that's what my friends say. I am still a little unsure about that, but thought I would give it a shot. I was married for 15 years and lost my husband over two years ago. I never thought I would be able to move on from that, but I guess it is time. I have a lot of family and some very close friends, but now am ready for some companionship and eventually hope to find love and intimacy again.I am looking for someone who doesn't take life too seriously, doesn't sweat the small stuff. Someone who will hold my hand when we are walking and listen to my stories even if you don't care about what happend at my work. I love to make people laugh and can be a little sarcastic at times I enjoy a good comedy over a chick flick. Anchorman still makes me laugh!! I am low maintenance and don't have a lot of drama, well I am a woman so there has to be some drama. I have two basset hounds who I have adopted from a rescue group. I volunteer with a basset hound rescue group and my dogs are a very important part of my life. I miss them a lot so if you have kids/grand kids, that would be good with me. I love kids. I enjoy almost all sports -- watching them or going to them. My Sundays are saved for football and NASCAR. I love going to D-Backs and Coyotes games. I do go to the gym and am working on being healthier. I would love to start hiking, seems everyone on this site hikes! I don't do much camping, the last time I camped was at the NASCAR race in February and that was in a 5th wheel with running water. I do enjoy outdoor activities, the movies, rock concerts, all the basic stuff.Don't judge a book by it's cover, open it up, you might be surprised by what you find!! Something simple, a drink or a bite to eat. We have all been down this road before, so let's not play games, let's just see if we like each other.
