Well after some time on here it's been an interesting experience. I hear some people "have you had any luck on here?!" I'm sorry luck is for gambling and playing the lottery. I like everyone else on here is here to try and meet someone special, maybe I will on here or maybe I won't... But sometimes you meet someone in the strangest of places. I am keeping the hope alive... I must say someone simply saying "hey" or "hi" isn't going to stir up much of a conversation, neither is overbearing bad grammar. I try to overlook a lot of shortcomings a lot... and see the positives over negatives... But the positives have to show their face for me to do so.... But enough about that, and about me... I'm just a simple guy. I try to be honest to everyone around me and to myself. I work full time in retail, and in my spare time I pursue my life long love of music. I play guitar in an original rock/metal band. I'm not trying to be a bigtime rockstar... I do it for the love. And yes I do have an 18 year old son. Most folks are like "there's no way!!!" but it's true. He's the most important reason I've done what I do daily. And yes since I play music I love to listen to music. I enjoy rock, alternative, metal, electronic and industrial music mostly... are just some groups I enjoy. I'm always open to discovering new music. But of course I love movies... Sci Fi, Comedies, Action, some Horror and etc... if it's a good film I will love it. Pulp Fiction is probably my all time favorite if not one of them. For the last year I have worked in a ministry working with men who struggle with addiction to alcohol and/or drugs. Now I work for a fiberglass company as a finisher and painter and I work Monday through Thursday and I'm off Friday through Sunday so I have a decent amount of free time. I would enjoy meeting someone to share my newly acquired free time with. If it's nice outside I am generally found hiking in the local area or on a disc golf course. If it's cold or rainy I spend much of my free time playing XBOX 360, watching movies or if I had someone to go out with I suppose I would enjoy going to the movies or perhaps bowling.As far as music goes I tend to be more of a rocker than anything else. I am tired of talking to people over and over again who just want to chat online and have no desire to actually meet in person. I am looking to find someone to DATE, not to attempt an online relationship that leads nowhere, so please let's not waste each others time if you're not really looking to go out. I guess the ideal first date with someone I was interested in would be going somewhere that we could talk, whether that be going to a coffee shop where we could sit, perhaps listen to some live music and talk or even bowling. The most important key factor to me on a first date is that I can go somewhere where I can talk with that person and get to know them. Getting to know someone better is what tells me whether or not we are compatible for a future relationship or if we're just better off as friends. As I'm sure almost everyone is there has to be a physical attraction to someone before I am interested in a date. Something light and casual is generally the best way for me to see how someone normally acts and whether or not I have a further attraction.
