About Me

It's September ***, I was on hiatus for quite a while.~I have been divorced for quite awhile, I'm in a very healthy place emotionally. I believe that by not being careless with my heart, not jumping in and out of relationships nonstop, I have a healthy sense of what I'm looking for in mate. I'm not desperate, not unhappy being on my own. It is fun to have someone to share a laugh with, a nice dinner, conversation, a walk in the brisk outdoors. I love all kinds of music....rock, classical, jazz, oldies, R&B,contemporary christian, etc. Music is such a gift. Love chocolate, only vice actually ;m. might be a close second.---blond American who speaks fluent Spanish. I appreciate honesty, integrity and someone who can communicate***I believe happiness is a choice, no matter what your circumstances. We have all had some negative things happen in our lives, heartbreak, disappointments, maybe our lives going a different direction than we ever thought--it's what you do with it, that counts. I take care of myself and would appreciate someone who does the same. Really would like to meet someone who really cares about the inner person, also--not just physical appearance. My two sons are grown. I believe in helping others and not being self-absorbed. I am very down-to-earth, a tiny bit feisty not into head games. I enjoy the beach, reading, also walking, hiking, bike-riding and sight-seeing. I value sincerity and honesty---sad to say, not that easy to come by with online dating. I appreciate someone self-confident but not overly so (arrogant), it's a fine line. I am a christian and I have christian morals and values. I believe the Bible and I'm still fun. I like swimming against the current...some will get this, some won't. I am 58 yrs. old, not 53. I have tried to correct this multiple times and it won't let me. No one seems to believe that I am 58, that or they're just being kind.     I like movies, action, adventure, sci-fi, not into horror - they give me nightmares. lol I don't have any tatoos - although if you do that's ok. I could never decide which one I liked above all others and where it should go. So I'm still thinking...I like traveling. I was in the Air Force as a young adult from ***thru ***, 4 years and 8 months.- I would like to say that I can travel at a moments notice but I can't - due to my job I have to plan ahead. I love the warm tropical times of the year. I like most kinds of music. I like to dance, when I do housework, lol. My friends would describe me as dependable, hard working, funny and a good friend. If I can make you laugh, all the better!. I know most people say that they have a sense of humor, but my friends tell me I'm funny, really!I like sports, I like to participate more than watch. I have gone to flat track races, superbike races, nascar and nhra. I took a flat track class Dec 09 and had a blast! I like riding my motorcycle, I would not consider myself a 'biker'. My parents rode motorcycles and I've grown up with them. I really drove a replica indy car - it was a rush and I loved it, I wish I could have gone faster. I'm not a perfect body type, I've lived life, had kids (two).I work on my home, yard work and whatever I think I can handle. I'm not afraid of work and don't mind getting dirty as long as I can take a long hot shower! I like architecture and history - and how things work. I am curious about a lot of things and hope I never feel like I know it all! - I love seeing my grandkids looks of wonder on their faces when something catches their eye. I still believe in romance and love. I just got back on line after a couple of years. will post a new pic soon. hair is a lot longer, not much else different, same eye color. my first date would be over coffee/tea, talking about what we like to do. Maybe movies we've seen or books we've read, or things we want to do. Watching for a spark, and taking it from there...
