Thanks for viewing my profile. I have been divorced for nearly 16 years now and for the vast majority of that time I devoted myself to raising my two children. Since they have grown up into awesome young adults I think it was time and energy well spent. Now it's time for me to invest the same time and energy into my future! The first thing I've been focusing on is preparing for a new professional venture ...I am working toward getting my private counseling license....master's level counselors were not allowed to get that when I first got my degree so it has meant going back to school for a few classes (taking the last of them currently) and I have a few more hoops to jump through before I'm finished. When I do finish I hope to use my new license as a means to supplement my retirement. I also hope to find a life partner! I never wanted to introduce a "step" parent into the mix with my kids preferring to let them develop an adult relationship with a partner I choose. I love doing so many things...Like the beach but love the mountains...particularly in the cooler months. I like canoeing and just connecting with nature...would love to learn a bit about photography (more than point and shoot) so I could capture some of those moments. I love antiques...particularly kitchen utensils. The thought of using a utensil that another woman used before me to lovingly prepare meals for her family is a special feeling. I like being the custodian of the things from the past to keep them preserved for the future. I like to get many of these things at auctions or estate sales. I enjoy attending cultural events (one of these days I’ I read all of the time and can never learn enough. I like to banter and share ideas. I am passionate and miss having an intimate partner to wake up with and I especially miss whispering in the dark. There is much more to share...hope to hear from you soon...!

    Love the beach, dining out and seeing live music. Did I say I love the beach?? I do....
