Well let's see just been separated for 11 months now. Starting the dating scene is kind new to me.. Seems it was a lot easier when we were younger.Like to go to dinner with a nice lady and good conversation .. I like to camp and gotta have a fire... ( fire Bug ) lol Love concerts love the Blues... Country and Western ... Lol50' 60's and 70's 80' :( not so much .. 90's were pretty cool stuff. But music a big part of my life.. Not to much in to TV.. Good walk in the French Quarter.. On Sundays Frenchmen St.. Put my toes in the sand not in to get sun burned.. To old for that.. Lol .. Not in to the Bar scene grew up here was a bartender in my 20's .. In the French Quarter for my Dad... Lol long story .. Pretty much easy going .. Don't like rude people any body can be rude but it takes a little more effort to be nice.. Hi! Let me tell you a little about myself.I enjoy live music. I like jazz (especially tenor sax, especially bebop -- I've never heard anything John Coltrane did that I didn't like), rock, blues, some classical music. I recently heard a live jazz violin for the first time, and it was great! I like bluegrass, but otherwise can't tolerate most country music.I enjoy movies, comedy, theater and festivals when they aren't too crowded.I like wine tastings, ethnic food, and fine dining. When I dine out, I enjoy finding a dish I've never had. I tend to eat healthfully, for the most part, but I'm not a purist. I've been a vegetarian in the past, and I can still enjoy vegetarian food, but these days I'm fairly carnivorous.I drink wine and beer socially.I like to travel when I can, but most of my recent travel has been for business.I'm not a sports fanatic, but I like going to an occasional game. I do like to watch soccer and loosely follow the US National Team. I played soccer (badly) and officiated it (reasonably well) and my son coaches soccer. I like to stay active -- I work out 5 days a week, running and lifting weights. I like to bicycle, though I haven't done it in quite a while. I like hiking and any activity that involves walking outside. Spiritually, I'm drawn to Zen Buddhism, and I meditate.I like conversation about ideas. I enjoy discussing politics, history, science, human nature, spirituality.Right now I want to date and have some fun. In the long run, I am looking for a real, long-term relationship based on attraction, communication and the enjoyment of the interplay of our personalities. If we've never met in person, I'd like to meet informally for a cup of coffee, tea, or something stronger and talk.If we want to go on a real date after that, I think dinner at a nice restaurant with a quiet atmosphere would be the best next step.
