About Me

I retired and moved to Buchanan, Va in April ***. I love being near the Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway and the James River, some of my favorite places. I am Floridian by birth, grew up in Jacksonville, and graduated from Florida State University. I am a Virginian by choice. I grew up near the beach and still enjoy it, but I love the mountains. I am a dog lover, have a rescue dog named Rey, she’s 2 years. I hope to meet someone who shares interests and perhaps one will develop into a long-term relationship. I desire a kindred spirit in fun and mischief, an explorer, a moderate risk taker, someone who loves to kid around, who knows life is short where kindness, friendships + love are the sweetest things, humble and self-assured, willing to share and listen. I hope to find someone who can be that wonderful person in life together, confident in trust. My friends know me as a kind and honest guy, who volunteers to help, has a big heart and enjoys hiking + outdoor activities year-round. A life goal of mine is to finish hiking the Appalachian Trail, ***miles to go, ***miles done, adding another ***the week of Memorial Day ***. My interests include learning to play guitar, cooking, an old ***Miata, camping (Glamping included), water activities, gardening, cycling, DIY projects, I surfed in my youth, snow skied as an adult, motorcycles, and surviving. I bicycle garden and love the outdoors. I am a bourbon collector but also enjoy craft beers, wines, and other spirits.
