Man. 50 years old. Zodiac sign: Scorpio.
Looking for: woman. In age: 47-57
I'm a fairly introverted and quiet fellow. I believe close human companionship is the most important thing in life, and that's something lacking in mine at the moment. I'm looking for somebody who will solve that problem, and let me return the favor for them. It's not about the destination, and it's not about the journey. It's about who you travel with. What kind of travelling companion am I looking for? I'd love to meet a lady who is kind, sweet, and generous. At the same time, though, she should have an unpredictable and slightly wicked sense of humor. Behind every good man is a woman who sometimes pokes fun at him, just to keep him grounded. She should be intellectually curious and thoughtful. Most of all she should just be fun to hang out with.I love to read. Mostly I read science, science fiction, fantasy, and history (especially military history).R.R.Let's talk about music. J. S. Bach is my favorite composer. He is the master-- his music is beautiful and timeless. Let's award the runner-up trophy to Beethoven. I like Tchaikovsky a lot. Chopin and Debussy are very nice to listen to. I sometimes enjoy the music of some of the "weird" modern composers like Stravinsky and Ligeti. In the area of Rock my favorites are Queen, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and Foo Fighters. New Age? Vangelis. Jazz? Pop? The Carpenters and ABBA. Country? Television theme songs? Batman! Yes, I'm a silly person sometimes. How about television? I've been watching The Walking Dead for excitement, and The Big Bang Theory for laughs. Gold Rush is entertaining. I still watch Survivor loyally. I've been watching Jeopardy for three decades. I enjoy golf and football. Maybe 2 to 4 movies a month, and that's about it for TV viewing.I love board games. No, I'm not talking about mundane geezers like Monopoly and Life and Clue (though I do enjoy Scrabble). I'm talking about the board game renaissance that has been happening over the last 10 to 15 years. I'm talking about imaginative, intriguing, fun and fascinating games. Ever heard of Magic: The Gathering? Forbidden Island? If you have no idea what I'm referring to then check out boardgamegeek.com. Or, let me tell you all about it. I'm looking not just for a life partner, I'm looking for a playing partner as well. The smarter the better, because I enjoy a good challenge!Lately my physical activity has mostly been limited to exercise and gardening, but I'm willing to try almost anything. A romantic rendezvous at a cozy cafe, or perhaps an enlightening excursion to a musty museum.

I'm way more suited to a southern girl who's into college football, tubing down the river, and grabbing a couple ice cold beers and wings. Maybe I'm too picky, but I'd like to say it's being selective. I'd rather be picky, and finally meet someone I'm totally into than to serial date. I'm absolutely not looking to meet girls on here to have sex, find a friends with benefits relationship, or develop a booty call for the weekends. I am the anti-player.I've decided that online dating has given very average looking women the sense that they are gorgeous, and cute girls the sense that they are supermodels. It's amusing to hear all the stories of guys that acted like they were really into you, only to find that all they wanted was another piece of booty. Online dating has made it easier to meet people, but I think harder to find a real connection.Good luck, ladies. I'm going out into the real analog world, and meeting a cute, petite, intelligent, funny, athletic woman like I always have :-)PS: I'm not really 48 anymore. Something very low pressure and casual. A craft beer or glass of wine somewhere we can actually hear each other speak?
