For starters, I'm honestly looking for my one and only. I am a cultured individual who has traveled extensively and plans to continue this as much as possible when time allows. I'm not a game player and have no time for drama. While I certainly am OK with a woman who already has kids, I really would like to have some of my own. I laugh often and try to find humor in most situations. I enjoy the simple things in life and feel they are most important in a relationship. That's right! Those pesky little things like listening, patience, chivalry, sharing the work-load, and etc. I have a large variety of interests and always thirst for more experiences. I'll try anything new, within reason. Drinking heavily is not my thing aside from the occasional family get-together or party with friends. I'm over the bar/club scene, however that does not mean I won't go out and have fun on occasion. There is so much to do out there, I'd rather spend my hard-earned money on new experiences rather than frequent a bar routinely. Generally I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy, but I certainly know how to dress for the occasion and do not shy away from fine-dining, and etc. I am also a sports fan, but not to the extent where I plan my life around it. In a nut-shell, I am looking for a down-to-earth woman who wants the same out of life as I do. Someone who is even-tempered, confident, but not stuck on herself. I also appreciate a blunt personality with some degree of restraint. I probably would not do well with someone who rips the server a new one because they forgot something at a restaurant. Lastly, I have an open mind and will not tolerate bigotry, hatred, or any other dysfunctional mind-sets. Times like these an English degree might be helpful! I'll try not to write a cover letter, so here goes. I enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking, cycling and the like. I try to get out of the city as much as I can, often doing my grocery shopping in the valley during the summer and fall. I love to cook and have watched more Food TV than I should. I love butter, and I wish all food could be made from scratch, local and fresh. I love to dance and shake my bum on the dance floor. Campfires and dance floors have the unique ability to allow some meditation for me. I enjoy most music, and only avoid pop or overplayed radio tunes. I'm active and usually building, organizing or plotting a pot luck dinner, dance night, reunion, beach/camping trip or road trip. I enjoy quiet nights at home, as well as nights out putting up a rock star impersonation ;) Lots of hikes, road trips and bike rides year round. Eating right and staying active are keys to being in good health,and generally happy in my view. In the colder months I'm in the gym most weekdays, although I loathe going to the gym in warm weather. I'd rather hike Cape Split, or go canoeing, swim in a lake, anyhting other than be inside if it's nice out. I'm a very passionate person in politics, health, love and relationships. I'm adventurous, open minded, and a bit daring.I have a great job and career. I want to live a sustainable life, in low impact housing (solar hot water, perma-culture gardening, low electricity use, grey water, etc). I'm no hippie but I do burn some hemp from time to time.
