Hobbies: reading, painting, writing, riding my bicycle down on the bike paths, movies, music and concerts, and always open to trying new things and places.Goals and Aspirations: To be the best dad I can be, to learn new things and experience all that life has to offer, to be more active than I am now, to write a novel, to do more projects at home, to sell my house within 5 years, to advance one or two more times professionally, and to have my last 'first date'. What makes me unique: I'm an involved father who has my kids half the time and would gladly take them all the time if I could, I have a quick wit and a stealthy sense of sarcasm (be warned, lol) but all in good fun, I enjoy craft days of painting, etc with my kids and whoever else wants to join, I like my sports (especially hockey) but don't have to spend all weekend in front of the television, I don't sweat the small stuff and think I have a good sense of what is really important in life (kids 1st), I like to cook and try new foods, I don't watch a lot of TV, I have a vast taste in music and my ipod is always playing, I am more interested in a night at home with a movie and dinner and a hand to hold than I am with going out to the bars (but its ok sometimes), I like to learn new things and visit new places. My taste in music: Hmmm, this is a tough one... I would describe it as indie rock/ college radio/ alternative but that is just a starting point. I listen to everything from classical to rap to country to hard rock.-o-... and the list goes on and on.Interested in talking with and eventually meeting someone for a casual date. If things go well then a series of dates and hopefully eventually that will evolve into a relationship... That's how it works right? LOL I'm a laid back, low stress kind of guy who likes to have fun when I can. I have two children who are my world, I work a full time job, have a vehicle, and own my own place. Chemistry is essential and that's where people usually start, so I get that. I enjoy some outdoor activities as well as quiet nights at home. I try to do something active at least twice a week even if its just a quick bike ride around the block. Music is an everyday part of my life and my ipod is usually on. I like to watch sports, but don't spend all weekend in front of the television. Reading, writing, and painting happen often in my house. I'd rather do things with my kids then make sure my floors are spotless. Humor is essential in life, and I believe in a quick wit and making fun of myself, or others as long as it is in good fun. I like road trips to no particular destination. My dream job would have been an astronomer if it wasn't for all that damn math or an artist. I write, hug, doodle, day dream, read, walk, and chew gum... sometimes all at once;) Enough about me, send me an ***, lets get to know each other and take it from there. A brief meeting for coffee? A drink? Ice cream? Something low key and casual where we can relax a bit and chat. Then the next time something a bit longer, a walk on the river, cycling, tennis? A casual lunch or dinner? I'm open for suggestions, I like input so we can both agree on something.
