When I was in Kindergarten, I told my class I was going to someday be a lawyer. I grew up dreaming of arguing cases in the courtrooms of America. And that is exactly what I do today, as a litigator on Wall Street. And I love my work. But it is not what defines my entire life as I have many passions and interests. I am definitely a big “foodie” and appreciate experiencing new restaurants and lounges for great dinners and good bottles of wines. But most important of my passions, I am a family guy. My parents, married over 30 years, and my younger sister, brother-in-law and baby nephew are more than just close family, they are also friends.

I'm originally from New Zealand where I was a journalist & left home to explore the world.; lived there for 4 years, working for a cultural exchange company, which provided me the opportunity to travel all over the UK & Europe. I transferred to their U.S. office in CT in '92, before going back to my journalism trade when i got a job in NYC writing daily music news for a syndicated radio company in ***. After interviewing bands for 3 years (childhood dreams do come true!), I took a job as a senior producer for an interactive TV company, writing music news & reviews. That company imploded in the dot-; different and have made a good life here. I love music, writing, being outside exploring & traveling, which I do often & in abundance. My current job has helped me get to 49 states now - :) I love a good belly laugh & generally have fun, & being from 'down-under,' I don't take things too seriously... .I enjoy talking to & meeting new people from anywhere & hearing all their interesting stories.My personal beliefs are based on the Buddhist principles of compassion & non-judgment, so I'm a kind &; a good listener.I'd like to meet someone who shares my passion for life and compassion for others. Well, where do I start? I love the work I do and feel very fortunate for the career I have, so I guess using a dating website isn't such a bad compromise after all, haha. For me the bar scene is great (especially local and hole in the wall joints) if I'm looking to try the latest and greatest new microbrew, or catch up with old friends, but I've never been the Don Juan car salesman type that can meet someone new there every weekend. Trying all of KC's long established and new food/drink venues is one of my favorite local activities... or decades (I still love ya Royals). Spring and Summer are hands down my favorite seasons! I love the feel of the sun and warm weather, all the green grass and leaves and being able to drive with my windows down. Some of my other interests and hobbies include cars and boats, building and working on things, especially around the house. I'm very technical and handy! So, I guess I'm looking for someone that also enjoys some of the same things I do, but will introduce me to activities and experiences I've never been exposed to before. Someone affectionate, loving, beautiful, articulate, can enjoy a night out on the town, or be just as happy snuggled up on the couch watching a movie with a glass of wine. Most importantly though, my best friend. Hope to hear from you! A restaurant, especially one with a patio is always nice for a little food, drink and conversation to learn more about each other.
