A little about me...I am a true southerner and proud to be back home. LOL. I love to laugh, I am honest and sincere and drama free and looking for the same. I love spending time with my family and friends (old and new). I enjoy socializing but also enjoy quality quiet time.My perfect mate would be very confident, outgoing and well versed in current events. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and hope that his family is as important to him. Seeing a man's passion for loved ones, current project at hand, beliefs, relationships, etc is the most beautiful attribute to me.Being able express oneself a necessity. I am looking for the man that makes me smile in the morning over a good cup of coffee...honestly, you need to prop me up and place both of my hands around the coffee cup...someone to share the details of the day with over dinner (feel free to cook with me...really, I won't mind at all. I want The Teddy Bear that will snuggle up with me on the couch to watch a good movie..Basically I want the secret looks, vibes, etc from across the room that speaks volumes only to us. Stolen kisses (they are the best!)...I want a man's man that has a little goofy side as well. Fair Warning: Be able to first your own in some "Friendly Bantering". To be this person you must be open, honest and emotional available. Someone who recognizes his accomplishments as well as his failures and embraces them both. Hmmmm...does he really exist? Or am I only dreaming? If so please wake me quietly with my coffee (cream and sugar, please/thank you). This may not be politically correct but I am going to state it anyway. I prefer to date within my own race and within 10 years of my age. I love all people for who they are and what they contribute in life but have found what fits best for me. I also understand that many men have a passion for motorcycles but if you park yours in your livingroom we will most likely not be a good fit. Remember noone is perfect. Best of luck in finding the one that is perfectly imperfect but perfect for you :)~ Second date: A Riverdogs game or a football game with a hot dog and beer.

Friendship first, then we'll see how it goes. I'm quiet at first until I get to know someone. I love animals, reading - especially mysteries with a paranormal twist, music, movies, taking walks, day trips, and technology. And of course I'm open to new interests with the right person. I love quotes and I think too much. So I guess you could say I'm a bit of a philosopher. At the same time, I tend to see the humor in the everyday. Humor makes life quite enjoyable. In my leisure time I prefer not to rush. I was married for 24 years. Chemistry and personality are most important, and a picture doesn't tell the whole story. We won't know if we have it until we meet, and that attraction isn't rational. It's easy to list qualities of the type of person we think we'll be attracted to, but the reality isn't that simple. Work is important but it's not the only thing. I enjoy being around people who don't take themselves or life too seriously. I'm looking for a guy who is real, kind, has a sense of humor, and thinks our time together is special. And we can be ourselves. Someone to spend time with, even it's just hanging out together, taking a walk or snuggling while watching a movie. Even doing the everyday mundane things we all have to do with your partner makes it all worthwhile. I saw this quote and thought it summed up how I view finding that special someone at this point in my life:"Midlife love rocks, and not because it pushes loneliness out of the picture. It's because we've lived long enough to understand how important this kind of connection is - at any age - and how blessed we are to have found it. And since time is a precious commodity, we're less inclined to play games and more inclined to ask for what we want. -- Maybe something simple like coffee and conversation, or it could be a drink before a movie. Whatever it is that will help us relax and be ourselves.
