My cousin once said to me "I don't know *how* you're still single!" Well, I'm not quite sure either, but part of it is because I'm happy enough on my own and won't "settle", and that I can sometimes come across as a little intimidating (rather than just confident). (Now, just because I'm happy enough on my own doesn't mean that I want to be on my own forever, it just means that I'm going to wait until I meet the right guy rather than rush into something that's "good enough". Make sense? Like someone once said, it's better to be single than to be in a bad relationship. If it's worth it, I'll work for it; if it's not, I won't... Having said that, I should warn you that I tend to not jump into things too quickly. I like to take some time to get to know somebody before making a decision one way or the other. I don't want to miss out on anything, but I also don't want to make a premature commitment...)I think the easiest way to tell you about myself is to just give you my "laundry list" :)Me:- single (never been married***don't have any kids (but definitely want them)- independent- intelligent- love to travel and go camping! (but always love getting back home, too - there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed when you've been away for a while)- realist- optimist (yes, it may seem to contradict the "realist" above, but it doesn't really)- romantic- sarcastic (who me? nah...!)- slightly offbeat sense of humour - sometimes people just don't "get it"- generous- confident- easy going- like (and have) tattoos (I have 4 right now, all pretty small) (I also have my nose pierced)- not a big animal person...- Non-smoker--; Prejudice (and yes, I like the classic "chick flick" too...)You:- similar to me, but with enough differences to make life interesting :***know who you are, and know what you want out of life- enjoy camping and travelling- like going to folk fest (or are happy to humour me and keep me company)- adventurous, spontaneous, easy going- appreciate and enjoy spending time with friends and family- as comfortable getting dressed up and going out as wearing sweats and staying in - want kids (this is a dealbreaker for me, and I'd like them sooner than later, but won't rush it just 'cause)- think family (in general) is importantMy one big deal-breaker (aside from wanting kids) is if you're a smoker. Sorry, but if you smoke, I'm not interested.I think that's it for now...although I do want to say that these aren't "requirements", just "wishes", and by no means a list of specifications that you must meet...lolIf I've "favourited" you, it's because I'm intrigued and want to say hi but I either didn't get a chance right away, or I'm not sure what to say...feel free to say hi first, or wait until I do...either one works. :-)(and fair's fair - you've seen my photo, I'd like to see yours - I pretty much won't reply if you don't have one) Lunch, drinks or coffee would be a good start (on a patio in the summer, of course!). If things go well, then maybe go for a walk, or out for dessert. As long as it's something where we can talk and get to know one another, I'm up for it!Just a word of caution - I'm not one to wait a long time before wanting to meet...chatting online is fun and fine for a bit, but the whole point here is to actually meet people, right? :-)

I love animals, I have 2 dogs and 3 cats. I am a shy person at first, but once you get to know me I will open up more. I like photography, traveling, music, movies, hiking, camping, horseback riding, going to parks, and doing just about anything else outdoors. I want someone to cuddle w/ on the couch, to take long walks w/, someone who i can be myself with and won't play 'games'. Someone who likes to dress up for a night on the town one night and is just as comfortable going camping and playing in the mud the next. Honesty and trust are very important to me. MUST LIKE ANIMALS. :):)I apologize in advance but I had to put this out there so no one can say I didn't mention it from the beginning. This is how I feel.I'm looking for someone to date with the possibility of it becoming more... not to say that I'm looking to jump into a relationship after a month of dating, let alone 6 months of dating, just that that's what I'm looking for... I'm not looking for "casual"/no-strings-attached dating. I don't really believe there is any such thing as casual dating unless both people are looking for nothing more than someone to go out and have fun w/ and no strings. Again that's not what I'm looking for. I think dating may be considered 'casual' for the first couple of months or whatever, but if you've been dating for ***months then it's no longer casual, its consistent. Once you've reached that point, if you're dating multiple people, you're obviously dating them because you're interested in all of them, so how do you continue once you've reached this point without choosing one of them... if you don't choose you'll just be hurting someone, and possibly yourself, very soon down the road, especially if the other person has told you they're looking for more than a date.I will only ever date one person at a time. Period. If we've been dating for 2 months or so, then you will be the only guy I'm dating. I'd hope to receive, and would appreciate, the same level of respect and consideration if you are dating me. It's too hard to find the energy and the time to keep multiple relationships straight, too many people get hurt, and it's foolish. If you date two people and like them both for very different reasons, how can you choose? It's not fair to any of the people involved.I'm sorry if this offends anyone but I'm tired of dating someone, really liking them, then finding out I'm one of 4 people they're dating. Especially when they get overloaded with whatever, decide they can't handled any kind of relationship anymore, when I stated from the beginning I was looking for more and not just "casual" dating. all depends on the weather and the company preferences.. dinner, coffee, walk in the park, zoo, etc...
