A devoted animal lover, I volunteer with my dog, Jazz, in the Hospice Therapy Dog program. (We've also successfully completed Agility Dog training, coming to the inevitable conclusion that Jazz has ultimately more forward gears than I!). The outdoors nurture my soul, especially kayaking Florida's backwaters and bicycling to wherever. I love casual home entertaining, good conversation, playfulness and laughter, dancing, playing bridge, social poker with the neighbors, interactive games of all kinds--especially word games. I tend to be curious by nature, genuine and casual; spur of the moment plans fit easily--and usually turn out to be some of the best times. I love God and country and spent 4 years with the USO, based in Washington, DC, during the Viet Nam era. The "life dance" is full of surprises and I try to speak and live my truth. That's the part that can't be defined by words...everything unravels in its own good time--and, from here, YOU decide if you pick up the beat!! Either way, thanks for reading this far!For starters, I'd welcome something light with a casual venue that's comfortable for us both. In fact, the concept of "first dates" is overrated. What I would like in a man: The first thing that comes to mind is that he is funny. Meaning, I don't want someone who is too uptight. I am a goofball and a little clumsy, so if you can't laugh about life, then you are probable going to have issues with me. The second thing that comes to mind are looks. I hate to admit it, but looks do matter to me. I need to find something appealing about you, or else things are not gonna go very far. I am not a very materialistic girl. Yes, I do like having nice things, but I am not going to throw a fit if something of mine gets broke. For example, I eat in my truck and I allow my children to do so as well. I don't see the point of having things that you like to be constantly worried about something happening to it. I guess my motto is: enjoy it! don't obsess over it! I also really like men that are sweet. The sweeter the better! I don't mind if a guy is alittle bit of an ***hole, but the second you are cruel to me or my children it is over. My boys are my world, so I will do what is best for them no matter how strong I might feel for you. Money is not a big issue for me, but I don't want to take care of you. I am sorry, but I've been there, done that! As long as you are able to take care of yourself, or at least trying to,then money is not an issue.I really don't care what we do for the first date. We could play racquet ball or sit on a park bench talking. As long as I don't feel like my safety is at risk.
