About Me

I have many interests some of which include: reading; walking; cooking for myself and others (I run a small, casual catering business); I write books, poetry and short stories, listen to all kinds of music, enjoy live theatre and I love outdoor activities as well as the indoor ones. I have a very positive attitude and tend to see the best in every situation or person. I used to love gardening and preserving home-grown veggies and fruit. Thinking I'd like to do that again...maybe. I'm quite naturally curious, so every day can be a day of discovery and adventure. I definitely have a very serious side to me, however, I also like to laugh...a lot. Having a good sense of humour would be helpful if you want to hang with me. You just never know what's going to tickle my funny bone. Watching television is not my thing, but I love movies.I'm very down-to-earth, spiritual, though not affiliatated with any religion. I believe there is truth in all teachings, I take what resonates and do my best to integrate those teachings into my daily life. I totally believe that absolutely nothing happens by accident...nothing. My boys are grown and thriving on their own. I wouldn't say I'm overly adventurous, but there are a lot of things and places I still wish to explore. I love travelling, and look forward to adventuring beyond the north american continent.So, just for clarification...I would prefer that people trying to connect with me have a photo posted. The person that will capture my heart will be someone who is a contribution to my life and I to his. Someone who understands that life is a constantly evolving process of learning, expansion and exploration. Someone who understands that there is more to life than what we've been led to believe. Someone who wants to play, have fun, whether it's just sitting around the house playing cards or taking a short little trip to the park to blow bubbles. Man, I haven't done that for a long time! ~lol~ In a world of infinite possibilities...what else is possible? I don't consider movies a good first date option for obvious reasons. Going for a coffee, walk or dinner would be more to my liking. I'm sure we'll figure something out. ~lol~
