About Me

I was born in St. but grew up in NY. This defines me in a lot of ways, being raised with totally different values, goals and drive. I love politics and can discuss and argue for hours on the issues that interest me. And I am interested in everything! I love theater, cinema, ballet, opera. I am very well read in both languages and always have at least 2 books on my nightstand, one in each language. I am a designer, but really an artist at heart. Love museums, new shows, won't pass by the gallery, and like going to Gallery Openings. Passionate about music, can't live without it. I am always listening to something, love new anything that is coming out. Going to concerts in small clubs, discovering new musicians is my favorite things to do. I have one daughter who is the apple of my eye. She is all grown now, but for me she will always be the little girl holding on to my hand on her way to school. I am very close to my family and talk to them every day. I love to cook big meals for friends and family during holidays. My friends think I am too idealistic, but I call it believing that most people are good with the exception of some bad apples. Looking for a partner in crime. Someone who is fun, very energetic, great sense of humour, affectionate and is not shy to show it, spontaneous, young in spirit and at heart, age makes no difference, generous with his emotions. Free to experience life today. Someone who can laugh at himself, but is gentle with others. Someone who is kind to animals and kids. Someone who will not put down the hweak. A kind warrior.Once I find him, that will be a perfect date. Wherever it is.

Well let's see....I am a single mom with kids still at home, 9 y/o twin boys so if kids are a problem you can stop here and move on and Thank You for your time. If you are still here great!. I say what I mean and mean what I say. I am not here for games or bs so save it for someone else. I would like to find someone to get to know, see where it goes and go from there. I am looking for long term, and I hope to marry one day. I like all kinds of music but rap not so much lol. Anything else you would like to know please feel free to ask. Nice dinner, good conversation....you have to get to know each other right?

I'm constantly bewildered by the cruel joke of heterosexuality. Why am I drawn to and attracted to the opposite sex when it appears that everything about us is, indeed, opposite? It seems that men are more suited to living with men, and women with women. So why are we trying to fit a square peg into a round hole (please pardon the pun as I believe I've just answered my own question while philosophizing). I am sort of a walking contradiction in that I love people but am sort of a loner. I'm a little bit country, but I'm also a little bit rock 'n' roll. I love to go for a long hike in the woods with my dogs, but when I get home I might blast some Radiohead or Pink Floyd... or Johnny Cash. Then there's big band music! So much to choose from...I like social gatherings but I'm more likely to enjoy doing something productive. Most of my hobbies entail solitude. Things like painting, writing (screenplays mostly), hiking, biking, hanging out with my dogs. Very dedicated to my dysfunctional family, as well. I'm not a huge fan of television but do like public TV and a few cable shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm." I could watch that show for hours. Also like Mad Men and a guilty pleasure is "The Bachelor". I can be too serious/cynical about life sometimes but when my mind is free from worrying about my family, my friends and the planet, I can be a hell of a lot of fun! I love to laugh but I also can appreciate a peaceful Sunday morning drinking coffee, listening to music and reading the paper. (One stripper said that a raisin was once originally a pickle--I'm sorry, it's cruel but it makes me feel better about myself!) I'm a pescatarian and would prefer someone that's not big on eating meat. Also would love someone who is outdoorsy and more of a homebody than an adventurer.I've been told I'm a gay man trapped in a woman's body. Maybe you should be a lesbian trapped in a man's body? First date should always be quick and painless, like ripping off a band-aid, just to see if there is chemistry. A quick dinner/drink or lunch is preferred. If we make it to the second date, I'd like to take a day trip to a city I've never been to before (provided I'm driving so you can't try to kidnap me, only to be seen again on milk cartons--Have you seen this girl?) and explore the local culture. Restaurants, shops, art museums, plays, etc. If the day goes well, the drive back home exchanging time on the iPods (which we'll bring on the first date, of course) should be titillating!
