About Me

I think I'm the most amazing woman you'll ever meet. Well my friends have been saying that for over 2 years now so why not add it here! I have a certifiable sense of humor, I'm a fantastic mom and I make a great living. I kicked him out when his mid life crisis kicked in and never looked back. My former life made me stronger....a better person, mother and friend.I only take long walks on the beach if my dog runs away or my child drifted while swimming and can't hear me calling to come back towards our things. Otherwise....I can lay in a chair w a good book for hours...dawn til dusk....I still love 80's music...but Pink Floyd puts me in a mellow happy place. Love bands like Maroon 5, Green Day...pretty much anything except what teenagers like nowadays...only because I have no idea what it means and just makes me feel old! ;). Some movie classics....STRIPES....Shawshank Redemption, Wedding Crashers, Starsky & Hutch, Animal House. I'm not a "typical Boca girl" as people refer.....NOT tooting my horn, just sayin. ALL my pics are current, so NO, I didnt shave my head and I wont suddenly weigh 300lbs. I can kinda deal with men who's profile shows shirtless pics, but honestly, would prefer those that dont. I'm pretty traditional in that I like to unwrap a package slowly vs already knowing what's inside.I work in the IT Industry and have held the same position for 17 years. I love what I do and I can see myself continuing this career path, but still searching for something more in life. I'm very big into animals, I love DOGS and have the utmost respect for those who rescue. One thing also important to me...CHRISTMAS TREES... ;-) If religion isnt an issue and you're cool, keeping Christmas...AWESOME I'm looking for a secure minded man who is NOT controlling and knows how to enjoy a life of his own as well. A successful career minded individual is a requirement for me now....the only toads I can deal with anymore are those nasty big gross things in my yard...and even those are marginally acceptable. Good luck in your search. For whatever reason....I've never been drawn to the idea of early morning coffee invites. Not being a serial dater...I don't have a laundry list of preferences in mind...but being pretty easy going in general i would love to think it's pretty simple like it was when we were 20 something!!!? ;). Ideally, grab a bottle of wine or a six pack...and going to sit somewhere like a dog park or just a park in general....that's pretty cool. I like your average sports bar...but love a wine bar or steak house just as much....I'm pretty open for suggestion and not too difficult to please. I'm in the best place of my life and I am sure of who I am. Any man I may meet at this stage of my life would be because I want to be around you....So by the time we decide to meet I'm sure anywhere will do ;)

    I know it's long.....suck it up and read it anyway....pretty please? :) ME......- girl next door with a bit of a wild side - sarcastic sense of humour- actually is 5' 5" and a 1/2....hey...that ***inch means a lot...I know you agree...lol ;p - not afraid to get dirty (mud between the toes feels cool)- loyal- romantic (holding hands and kissing rocks!***I mean that kissing is cool...not....I like to kiss rocks ;p- affectionate- will leave random love notes for you here and there- passionate ;)- summer person- prefer movies over regular TV- soooo NOT high maintenence or a princess (no need to open doors for me....well...unless you are walking in front of me....don't really enjoy a door in the face)- jeans-n-T-shirt and flip flops kinda girl but can rock a sexy black dress if need be- would give you my last rolo- likes trying different cuisines - enjoys watching some sports like hockey, UFC, football, wrestling (not a big baseball fan and watching golf is just plain torture to me ;)- love my job working with students that make formula cars, hybrid cars, rockets, dune buggies, snowmobiles, solar cars, robots etc- likes to tell stories....like this one time, at band camp.... ;p- drive stick (apparently this is impressive to some of you guys....not sure why)- adore my teenage daughter (the "ya, ya whatever" stage...not so much) Note to self......apologize to my Mother :)- very close to my parents, sister, brother-in-law and 2 nieces (I'm the "cool" Auntie)- have a small circle of friends that are great- good at communicating (ya think..;p...also a good listener)- young at heart (puddle jumping is a good thing)- likes muscle cars / shows- enjoys being near or on water- likes cookies- likes playing pool and darts (but not at the same time...although that could be interesting)- has been known to steal the small jam packets from restaurants (common...they're cute.....and great for camping ;)- hates wearing socks- likes the word "saucy" (as in defiant and not....."That's good saucy spaghetti"....)- prefers backyard BBQ's and patios but will tear up the dance floor on occasion (like 2x per year if that...don't like the bar scene)- loves concerts/live music...(especially outdoor venues)....been to many........are a few to mention anyway- enjoys "me" time (aka: independent)- loves to laugh....and make others pee their pants.....which in turn.....makes me laugh. (liquid out the nose can be pretty entertaining as well)Although I may come across as someone who is "all about fun", I do have a serious and sensitive side that comes out when need be. YOU.....- similar in some ways to me but with your own edge- must have a good sense of humour in order to understand mine- treat me the way you want someone to treat you.....you know how the saying goes....."Keep it simple Stupid" ;)- oh.....if you can cook more than just KD you get bonus points (although I really do enjoy KD every so often)THERE are some crazy people on meetville and THEY'RE very annoying with some of THEIR crazy messages they send.     This past summer a fisherman in RI caught a yellow lobster. Those chances are 1 in 30 million. At times our chances of finding someone compatible might feel like that, but I'm pretty hopeful our odds are better! NC is where I've called home since ‘99, but was raised in upper NY. I'm a product of those harsh winters, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" :) I lived in RI for a time too. Right now I work in architecture, it's a perfect fit for me.
