Sporting event to let loose and have fun while being totally comfortable. Perhaps taking a long walk and having a drink or ice cream somewhere. Communication, eye contact, politeness...Just the easy, common-sense approach to a first date! Hopefully, the first date will leave a good impression and a second date will be forthcoming...
