I'm a 41 yo single mother to a 6 yo son who I love and adore with all that I am. Yes I am divorced at my request. Sometimes things in life just don't work out. I'm not looking for a "babby daddy" for my son, he already has a very good one!...and yes, we are still friends and have no drama between us! We actually spend some holidays together, which include his wife and daughter. There is absolutely no reason to make my child have to deal with "ugliness" just because mom and dad are no longer together. We chose to be adults rather than be spiteful or at each others throats. I can be a little outspoken at times, but I have a heart of gold and I am very loyal to those who matter most to me. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My friends and I love watching live music, however I don't go out every weekend...that scene is quite tiresome! I'd much rather stay home and cook dinner together, curl up on the couch and watch a movie.If I'm off on a weekend (I sometimes work every other one)sometimes I have my son, sometimes my friends and I stay home to watch movies or play cards, have LSU game watching parties, or even barbeque with the kids. I do enjoy catching live bands from time to time. Love the crawfish season! Boils with friends and kids is a great way to spend a weekend! I absolutely love to dance ...that is my escape. I am a football fanatic, (and like sports in general) to the point that I have several fantasy teams. I am a die hard Cowboys fan and have been since the age of 5. Yes, I am a huge Saints fan also...just 2nd. I grew up going to Saints games and still do.I am currently back in school to finish my prereqs for Nursing school, and then of course apply and get it done. Sometimes life gets in the way and things get put on hold, however I'm getting it done now. I can already see how my son appreciates my determination! :-)I'm an affectionate person and I believe the little things in life matter the most. I'm not materialistic and it doesn't take much to make me happy, as long as I'm treated with respect and kindness. We all want to be treated the way we treat others. If you can make me laugh, thats a huge plus for you! I'm looking for someone who will treat me the way I treat them...and of course my son comes along with that!!! I have a passion for life and I don't let things get me down, at least not for long. I am honest and straight forward. I have learned that life is going to consistently throw you new challenges. So you just have to brace yourself, and when they hit, do the best you can. The motto I live my life by states that "Without integrity, nothing works." I have had a couple of bad bouts with these dating sites and am not looking for someone based off their sexual needs. I feel that this is something that should be done somewhere down the line of a serious relationship unless you are looking for just sex. I on the other hand am not looking for just sexual relations. I believe that a relationship is built on understanding, compassion and trust and love. Once you have that then the rest usually falls into place. So, if you want to base a relationship off of not truly knowing someone or because they don't particularly care for something, then keep on looking cuz I am not what you are looking for. I am looking for someone who actually wants to meet and hang out and have some fun although don't know how much with winter coming but would be fun. Someone who really knows how to treat a person. I am a very outgoing person, shy at first but warm up fast. I love trying new things and will try just about anything at least once. I love to dance, going for walks, spending quality time with my children and some quiet nites at home watching a movie. I'm looking for someone who is compassionate, caring and understanding.
