Well describing ones self is not an easy task?! I am a Marine, been to Iraq, and will be regardless of the current uniform I am wearing according to the current Commandant of the Corps, I am a father of ***yr old son, I coach football and soccer and enjoy being around kids, even all the really goofy questions that have more to do with video games than real life, lol. More than anything I am open minded and a realist! I like people in general but have very high standards. I feel people should be judged by the nature of their character, not the color of their skin, religion, height, education, or past wrong doings just as long as today they are doing the right things and going forward. I don't look down on anyone but feel if you walk with class and treat with honesty and respect you will get the same in return, but the reverse is true also. I use the word acceptance alot in life because when you take away the idea we are (I) am in control of people, happenings, or Gods will, you can keep your stress level down and attitude straight! Enough of me, ask if you have any questions?As for what I am looking for? Cuteness, and yes cute comes in many packages, I feel a lady can have curves and be cute. Honesty a must, and a strong sense of open mind. I enjoy new things, and would like someone who does also. As for age, open also, I plan to be here for a long long time, so age is a number, not an attitude or a way of life. Kids are great, and if you have them it makes the holidays that much more fun. If not, well working on them can be alot of fun. But mostly someone who is happy, not goofy happy, but happy generally and doesn't drive down the road complaining about every other driver. As for what I enjoy doing, well I read alot, workout alot, have a dog, so go for walks, I ride my bike, I enjoy going out on occassion, but the bar scene isn't that much fun, concerts, the park, fishing, camping, coaching, the pool, a good movie on the couch with some popcorn, more my style. I spend most of my free time listening to music, reading, writing good stories and bad poetry, running, hiking, biking, and taking pictures. Before I got my dog, Hina, I spent a lot of time at cafes, but I’m not one of those people that order half skim/half soy triple decaf lattes. I like my coffee black. My literary tastes are equally varied ranging from sci-fi/fantasy and historical fiction, to philosophy and biographies. Life seems to have toned back my workouts a bit, but I still try to run ***times a week. Not great, but not bad, either. I try to walk my dog for at least an hour every day. Longer on weekends. Unless it's just too damned hot. I have a PhD in aerospace engineering with a biology emphasis. I've flown several experiments on the space shuttle and one on the space station. No I'm not making that up. It's true. Write me and I'll tell you about it. I love science and my career has led me down a strange path indeed. Part of that is a very strong sense of curiosity. About pretty much everything. The world, life, science, self, art…everything. My partner? A love for music is definitely important. And someone who could keep me honest during a work out or two each week would be very nice. I want someone who loves being out doors. Day hikes and weekend camping trips…maybe more, who knows? Life is a mystery after all. That’s what makes it fun. :-) I'm pretty much open for anything. From dinner and a movie or grabbing lunch at a cafe to hiking or graving a jamba juice after a run.

I have two degrees, both in the arts. I have a BFA in ceramics and a BFA in painting. I want to work on a masters degree and teach on the college level. I work hard, and am very educated. I spend my time trying to better myself. I am a great listener and an eager conversationalist. I am well versed in many subjects and can hold my own intellectually. I enjoy many types of music but tend to gravitate towards jazz (Cuban,Brazilian, and American) and Classical. I'm insane about my art, passion doesn't describe the effort I put in. It's my life and something that I can honestly say that I am proficient in. If I'm not actually doing artwork, I am thinking about the art work I'm about to do. I'm fairly well versed in art history and continue to search it out. I've spent some time on meetville but found it mostly a chatting site. I try to get into it but find that I lose interest if it goes on too long. If I've put you on my favorite list I'm defiantly interested. I'm a bit shy and am not very aggressive, but warm up when I feel comfortable with someone that I click with. I'm more laid back and easy going. I tend to have a positive attitude and kinda get turned off from negativity.
