I work in the wine industry, and I love it, but I HATE wine snobs - it's just grape juice people, there's no need for elitism! I'm currently working on some certifications, which are pretty intense and a whole lot of work, but totally worth it! I go to class and tasting groups frequently, so when I say I drink often it mostly involves spitting - but seriously, homework has never been so fun!I play flute, piccolo, tenor sax, and clarinet... I'm a music nerd. It's okay, I've come to terms with it. :) I play in a local community band, I'm also on it's board of directors. I teach lessons and work with some schools in the area - Most people think that I only listen to classical music, which is so wrong! And Folk - And Motown. And Old School Hip-Hip. And Jazz. Maybe I should've written a list of what I don't like...I'm a born and raised Oregonian, and I love it here. I have 2 miniature schnauzers, and I adore them! I'll be honest, I'm not a cat person, dogs are just so much better! :) I'm close with my family and friends, and I like to stay busy. I love to go to happy hour after work, to movies at McMenamins, for a drive in the Gorge, or a weekend at the Coast - there's nothing better than a storm on the coast with a big fire and a glass of wine. (Ugh, that was so cliche, sorry.) Surprise me!

Running is a passion of mine and I run between 6--it's a big part of my daily life. I also enjoy swimming, hiking and going for long walks. Visiting the coast is something I like to do often and really enjoy walking on the beach. I have one cat-she is precious. I work for the state. I like traveling but also don't mind staying home to read or watch movies. Fall is my favorite time of year and I enjoy the beautiful colors and crisp fresh air. It's a good time to curl up with a great book and my kitty. Costco is my favorite store. Sushi is my all-time favorite food but I also enjoy trying new places. While I'm not a vegetarian, meat is not something I like much of. I love to clean but don't do much cooking. My idea of camping is the Holiday Inn. I'm a true believer in self-improvement and believe that it's a life-long process. I'm very happy with my life and don't need a man to make me happy, but it's nice to have someone to share life's daily pleasures with, to create memories with. I value my education-Bachelor of Science in Criminology with a minor in Psychology. I also place a high value on family and mine is very important to me. My friends say that I'm goofy, sarcastic, funny, blunt, honest to a fault and that I'm always smiling, that I'm selfless and caring. My life is pretty simple and uncomplicated, and for the most part I do what I want when I want to do it. I'm seeking someone whose life is also free of complications and has time and energy to devote to a special relationship. My special someone will be independent, honest, hardworking, fun, fun loving, caring and able to carry on a conversation. Go to a park and have a picnic, meet for coffee, have a nice dinner or even just a beer. Pretty much anything other than sitting in a movie theater.
