About Me

I am always open to new experiences in life. Traveled to many places while in the Navy, still have many others to explore. My goals in life, now that I have completed my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, I hope to find a job in the juvenile probation department, because I love working with children and helping guide them towards a better future. I'd love to try skydiving someday, and surfing, maybe even a little cliff diving. I love adventure, camping, hiking, sports, etc.Love learning new things. I see myself as a tomboy, but I clean up well too, when I need to be girly and get dressed up! I just prefer to be comfortable and live life in jeans, sneakers, t-shirts...relaxed and comfortable! I am a woman who knows what she wants in life, and won't settle for less. Being a hopeless romantic, I am slightly old school. I like when the man picks the woman up for a date. I like the door being opened for me. I like holding hands while walking together.The occasional surprise hug from behind while talking to others in a crowd. Don't get me wrong, I am very self sufficient and independent, but a surprised gesture of affection is nice and does not go unappreciated. I always say, if I choose to have you in my life don't mistake that choice as me needing you. There is a difference between being needed and wanted. If you are in my life you are wanted. I prefer something simple, dinner, picnic in a park or at the beach, something that allows for quality time with the person you are with so you can get to know each other. We live in a society so fixated on money,but a "date" does not have to be an elaborate or extravagant event. It can be sweet and simple. When done right, it can take one's breath away!

    I am a young woman who has realized that life doesn't always go as planned and that embracing that acceptance can be a hard pill to swallow, however once done, it opens your life to endless possibilities. I am finding that living in the present moment can relieve more stress than imagined, and day to day I attempt to make that a habit. I am highly educated and I have returned to school for my BCBA because I am a life long learner and I must just accept that. As far as interests, I partake in a lot of spiritual reading and have taken up yoga. Still working on meditating, but when I do I feel refreshed and amazing! I am also an adventurous, spontaneous person who likes anything from hiking mountains, skiing, concerts, watching movies, playing games, sporting events, the beach, and even the odd night at a casino. I am basically up for anything. My time is limited in such activities due to my beautiful son who has become my world, however as he grows I plan to expose him to all the wonderful things in life and I would love to meet someone who would share those experiences with us.I feel like I have a whole, complete, balanced life full of happiness. I'm happy on my own and if that is intended for me so be it, but I do find myself missing that special someone from time to time. I would be fooling myself if I didn't admit that. So, every day I continue on with my "plan" which is to have a happy life where my son can grow up in a positive, loving, enriched, environment. I would love to meet open people and develop friendships, casual relationships and hopefully one day meet my soul mate; a person that I am in love with who is not only my best friend but also my lover, emotional supporter, and counterpart. I too would be that for him. It would have to be something casual where I feel safe, yet fun and adventurous. Surprise me.
