I am always at a loss for words when I have to talk about myself, but here goes. I am a proud mom of two great kids. I have two jobs which I love. I am able to provide for myself, so I'm not looking for someone to provide for me. I like to take day trips to just about anywhere just to get out of the house and go, visit new places, try new things. I enjoy working out. I believe health and fitness are important. I like to listen to just about anything when it comes to music, from classical to country to hard rock. I grew up in the country so I am very comfortable outdoors and enjoy it. But I also like to dress up, wear a little makeup, put on jewelry and go do something from time to time. And yes, I can cook. As much as I like to be outdoors doing something, I also enjoy just curling up with a good book or cuddling on the couch watching a movie. And if you just happen to like board games, I'm all for a game of Candyland :) I have learned the one who protects her heart from fear of loss ends up with no heart at all. Just an empty chest, because she has nothing left to lose, I wont give up just yet.

If you can make me laugh, consider that one foot in the door.If you can keep up with my humor, and aren't easily offended, consider both feet in the door.If you try and spit some kind of childish games, expect me to show you the door.I'm *cringe* 30, and yet it seems I keep finding myself whiping the slate clean and putting myself out there in hopes of finding not Mr. Perfect, but, Mr. Perfect for ME. When it comes to relationships, I've been through it all, so much that I've pretty much become my girlfriends & guy friends "go to gal" for relationship advice & guidance. I figured I'd try this site out once more, though this time I'll spare wasting any time and list a few deal makers & breakers. I stand firmly by these, so if you fall under a "deal breaker", please, DON'T waste my time or yours... and MOST OF ALL don't think "Oh, well I can change", because A.) I'm not looking to change who you are. You are who you are, so make the best of it! and B.) If you can't be yourself 100% of the time, then "I probably won't like you." Sooooo.... here goes *drum roll*Deal Breakers-If you're one to try & control anything about me-If you're extremely co-dependent-If you'd rather sit at home all the time-If any of your ex's have decribed you as "psycho"-If you lie, about ANYTHING (I can NOT stand a liar, and have absolutely a zero tollerance for liars)Deal Makers-If you're funny, witty, and sarcastic.-If you can keep me on my toes.-If you're spontaneous!-If you're always honest. So, moving forward... A little about myself; I love catching live shows with great friends, playing any games that involves a little friendly sh*ttalk & competition,I love to take little get-a-way trips from time to time, and basically I'm always up for whatever! I do have a son who's 10, and he is my world! He absolutely comes first in my life.

Just moved to NYC for a new job that sought me out which is VERY flattering but now I have to work on establishing my new life.... it's been eye opening and certainly a bit overwhelming...(but mostly in a good way!).Now on to my original (mildly updated) profile: I like to think I'm a decent, honest person and that I'm pretty interesting. I love music and movies, traveling and/or trying new activities and new foods whenever time and money allow. I listen to pretty much every type of music - though country isn't a favorite.I'm very honest, open, and extroverted (most of my friends love me for my refreshingly honest take on things overall). I will throw a few random things out there: I can sometimes curse like a sailor BUT, I know how and when to turn that off and to put on my "yes, I do really have an MBA" hat :). I love to laugh and have fun and hang out with friends, but am more of a homebody than a "girl about town" (and I just realized that I might apparently like air quotes and emoticons more than I realized as evident by my use of those things here...)........(yes... I did insert more here randomly since the site was yelling at me to increase the word count on my profile :))Some additional random thoughts: I can be sorta wordy (in case you haven't noticed... ;) I don't like politics - It feels like a lot of people think that knowing (and liking) politics is synonymous with being intelligent. This does not have to be the case. I do vote and I do so after having researched my choice AND I do have a lot of views that lean more toward the less liberal side of things - I will chat about it from time to time ... but I'll avoid politics most days ...(I also have lots of friends who represent opposites sides of most political arguments and I enjoy not having to take part in their political debates unless I really think being silly...)Other random thoughts:- In my previous town, this applied a bit more, and I get why bikes are helpful for those who feel like risking their lives sometimes in NYC traffic, but I'm leaving this part in my profile anyway lol I don't get the whole crunchy, hippie biking culture and whatnot. I mean I like a nice bike ride as much as the next person, but this whole "everybody looks, dresses, and acts like bike-messengers" thing isn't doing it for me....(I wasn't a fan of Puck on the Real World if that helps put things in to perspective lol)- Tattoos .... I'm a fan... I currently have 9 if them....can't see them in my pix? It's because I've been very good at finding spots where they can be hidden if I really need to do that (though I don't often find the need) This also doesn't mean you have to hide yours by any means and if you don't have any .. that's fine as long as you're not upset about mine :PMy match? Well, I like to think that I don't have a particular "type"... I like good-hearted people. A guy who appreciates: hopping in the car (or now that I'm in NYC.... on the train :P) and finding a park to hang out and have a picnic; good movies; cheesy movies (or at least tolerates them for me :P); a guy who likes to laugh and joke but also who knows when to be serious and - no matter what - he's always sincere; someone who can appreciate the politically incorrect side of my personality and who challenges me (that's sort of a broad statement - challenging me = many things but some examples are: telling me what I need to hear - not just want I WANT to hear sometimes, someone who is intelligent and has a thirst for knowledge like I do, etc....). I do prefer it when a guy is at least my height if not taller (since I'm already almost 6ft tall....). I want someone who has really figured out who he is in life - even if he's still trying to figure out where he's headed :)I'm pretty open to answering questions so just ask - I didn't fill this out before and, while I like it when a guy uses the element of surprise...I can tell you that if you wrote something about seeing a movie in this box, then we might not get each other...
