About Me

For those of you who'd rather not read such a diatribe, I'll start with the "A.D.D" version (AKA: "the Wow What a Long...Ooo, Shiny!" version). The only thing missing is someone special to share all these wonderful things with. I've lived here for 5 years now, and it has become my home. I can't imagine living anywhere else at this point in my life, but I do understand that circumstances can change and I'm always willing to go with the flow.A little about me..... you'll see. I like to look good, but I'm far from a fashionista. I prefer a quiet pub to a noisy club. I'm fairly low maintenance, but I still like being romanced. What I like...Shockingly, like so many others on here, I love music. I guess if I had to classify, I listen to alternative rock mainly.; Levellers being the most played these days. I also love art. The likes of Dali and MC Escher top my list of favourites. As a graphic designer, I'm a sucker for fonts, colours, and interesting and innovative design (there's that geeky side showing it's face).I like to spend my time with my wonderful friends enjoying good conversation over drinks or a meal, taking a drive with no place to be and seeing where we end up, wandering the beautiful parks, trails, and beaches on this amazing island with my camera, or simply hanging out at home with a good book, a movie, my guitar or someone special. I'm told have a great sense of humour. I can dish out the jokes, but I can take them too (I have an older brother, so I learned fast). Positivity is the key to a happy life and I strive each day to look at life in a positive way...do you? What I'm looking for in you...I'm looking for someone who will be my best friend and my partner. Someone I can be myself around. If you are the one I want to get old and wrinkly with, you need to be someone that can still challenge me intellectually and make me laugh for years to come. A mutual attraction is a good start, but the right personality to match is just as important. I expect you to be honest, loyal, faithful, trustworthy, intelligent, respectful, driven, a good communicator, have a great sense of humour, a healthy self esteem, know your own heart, and most important of all, your actions must be in alignment with your words. Added bonuses include (but are not mandatory): someone who can fix stuff, someone who enjoys giving a good back rub after a long day, someone who is creative, musical, and/or artsy, someone who will remove spiders from my home for me & someone who is fairly outgoing. Please, feel free to message me if I've added you to my favourites or clicked the meet me feature. It's my subtle little way of saying hello. ;)You're still reading? Wow, good for you! You're a brave soul. If you think you may be that last piece of the puzzle, drop me a line and we'll see if we click.;)

I guess what I am looking for is more than friends with benefits. I have never been that type and do not want to be that type. If interested, send me a message.... Also...Don't want the cheaters, players, unemployed, liars, and druggies to send messages!!! I am not racist but I only date white guys...NO GAMES OR DRAMA!!Oh, if you're gonna send a message, "hi" isn't gonna cut it....

I am an honest woman looking for a man who can offer me the same. I value trust and honesty from the beginning and I have a hard time with head games. I don't like drama. I spent a long time in a relationship that was laced with drama, and life is just too short to deal with that. I am open and non-judgmental. I enjoy cooking and trying new food, movies, reading, writing, hanging out with my dog, Lola. I often times see her as my best friend. My friends and family mean the world to me and I enjoy their company. I am not much a party girl, though every now and then I enjoy dressing up and spending a night on the town. I would enjoy someone who also is not a party person but will accompany me on a night out. I enjoy traveling, though I have not had a chance to do much of it in the last couple years. Day trips are always fun as well. I like shopping, anything to do with the water and being outside , getting to know people and having a good conversation. I like friendly debates, and think it's important to disagree with people respectfully. I have multiple tattoos and you should be comfortable with that. I also plan on getting many more. I have a passion for music, as I believe it has the ability to make the listener feel any range of emotions. Once upon a time I really enjoyed camping, though I've not had a chance to go in a while. I do own a tent though, and perhaps next year I will have the opportunity.I am looking for a man who has been in a relationship before. Someone who knows how to be honest, true, and how to treat not only a woman, but another human being. He should be looking for more than a "hook up", as I am looking to find my best friend. Someone I know I can count on when I need someone to laugh with, cry with, and have fun with. A partner in life; no matter what life has to offer. Someone who can appreciate me at my best and sit with me through my worst. I am loyal, often times to a fault. I am a one man woman and feel very strongly about that. If I seem like someone you would like to get to know, please send me a message. If we hit it off, fantastic. If not, well, I will have had the opportunity to have a conversation with someone new! I think for a first date a walk on the bike path, or in a park is a good start. To me, dinner is too much pressure and a movie you don't get to talk and get to know one another. Somewhere where we can have a good first conversation is ideal.
