Many will show interest...Zero to none will show commitment. This is going to seem pretty harsh, but in the interest of saving time rather than wasting it (which I have done way too much of on this site), if you send me a message and I don't respond, that means I am most likely not interested. I may not be interested for a number of reasons, so please don't take it personally. Repeatedly sending messages to me after I haven't responded to the first message does not increase the likelihood that I will respond. With that being said, I'm not perfect, so I don't expect to find a perfect man, but I do want to find the one that is perfect for me. I'm looking for the one that gives me butterflies. I do not need a man, but I want a man that wants to be the one I need. (Figure that one out...)About me in a very small nutshell... Sometimes I'm very indecisive and other times I know exactly what I want. I can be as stubborn as they come. I'm a very independent, strong, feisty and hard working busy body. Sometimes I am persistent and relentless, but I also know when to back down from a situation. I am very picky and far from desperate. I can be as sweet as honey or I can sting like a bee. How I treat a person will reflect how they treat me. I know that there is a time and place for everything. I am serious when I need to be, but I can also be the most sarcastic, witty, smartass you ever met. Consistency and common courtesy are very important to me. A man with a nice smile is an absolute must for me and I have zero tolerance for cigarettes, laziness and stupidity. I'm also a very firm believer in karma and that actions speak much louder than words. I am not looking for friends, phone buddies, text buddies, ***, people who just want to exchange photos and/or people who simply need someone to stroke their ego. Going to try this again...... I'm a single mom of a 7 yr old boy, very little drama involved in this situation, I have him full time. I work full time so I'm not looking for a sugar daddy. My son is the most important part of my life so if you have kids and don't mention them in your profile, I probably won't respond. We are very much outdoors people- hiking, four- I started playing volleyball one night a week but if you know of any place with an open gym night, please let me know. I started running a year ago and have completed 2 5k races and 1 5k obstacle course. I like to play and watch most sports with football being my favorite. Its been awhile but I love to travel. Just moved to NYC for a new job that sought me out which is VERY flattering but now I have to work on establishing my new life.... it's been eye opening and certainly a bit overwhelming...(but mostly in a good way!).Now on to my original (mildly updated) profile: I like to think I'm a decent, honest person and that I'm pretty interesting. I love music and movies, traveling and/or trying new activities and new foods whenever time and money allow. I listen to pretty much every type of music - though country isn't a favorite.I'm very honest, open, and extroverted (most of my friends love me for my refreshingly honest take on things overall). I will throw a few random things out there: I can sometimes curse like a sailor BUT, I know how and when to turn that off and to put on my "yes, I do really have an MBA" hat :). I love to laugh and have fun and hang out with friends, but am more of a homebody than a "girl about town" (and I just realized that I might apparently like air quotes and emoticons more than I realized as evident by my use of those things here...)........(yes... I did insert more here randomly since the site was yelling at me to increase the word count on my profile :))Some additional random thoughts: I can be sorta wordy (in case you haven't noticed... ;) I don't like politics - It feels like a lot of people think that knowing (and liking) politics is synonymous with being intelligent. This does not have to be the case. I do vote and I do so after having researched my choice AND I do have a lot of views that lean more toward the less liberal side of things - I will chat about it from time to time ... but I'll avoid politics most days ...(I also have lots of friends who represent opposites sides of most political arguments and I enjoy not having to take part in their political debates unless I really think being silly...)Other random thoughts:- In my previous town, this applied a bit more, and I get why bikes are helpful for those who feel like risking their lives sometimes in NYC traffic, but I'm leaving this part in my profile anyway lol I don't get the whole crunchy, hippie biking culture and whatnot. I mean I like a nice bike ride as much as the next person, but this whole "everybody looks, dresses, and acts like bike-messengers" thing isn't doing it for me....(I wasn't a fan of Puck on the Real World if that helps put things in to perspective lol)- Tattoos .... I'm a fan... I currently have 9 if them....can't see them in my pix? It's because I've been very good at finding spots where they can be hidden if I really need to do that (though I don't often find the need) This also doesn't mean you have to hide yours by any means and if you don't have any .. that's fine as long as you're not upset about mine :PMy match? Well, I like to think that I don't have a particular "type"... I like good-hearted people. A guy who appreciates: hopping in the car (or now that I'm in NYC.... on the train :P) and finding a park to hang out and have a picnic; good movies; cheesy movies (or at least tolerates them for me :P); a guy who likes to laugh and joke but also who knows when to be serious and - no matter what - he's always sincere; someone who can appreciate the politically incorrect side of my personality and who challenges me (that's sort of a broad statement - challenging me = many things but some examples are: telling me what I need to hear - not just want I WANT to hear sometimes, someone who is intelligent and has a thirst for knowledge like I do, etc....). I do prefer it when a guy is at least my height if not taller (since I'm already almost 6ft tall....). I want someone who has really figured out who he is in life - even if he's still trying to figure out where he's headed :)I'm pretty open to answering questions so just ask - I didn't fill this out before and, while I like it when a guy uses the element of surprise...I can tell you that if you wrote something about seeing a movie in this box, then we might not get each other...
