I am new to the on-line dating scene and I am not entirely sure what will happen. I am a very active and outgoing individual and I truly enjoy meeting other people and learning more about them--especially people who are very different than myself. My interests tend to be those which keep me active and include: Running, Swimming, Weight Training, Hiking, and Carpentry. When hanging out at home I like watching movies or cooking for people.I would say that the most important things in life to me are my family and my friends. Staying connected to them is what keeps me going. More importantly than fame or fortune are the people in my life and I do not think that will ever change.I think the task of writing a paragraph describing what qualities would make me such a great person to date is a tough one simply because I am not used to talking about myself. I definitely consider myself to be well grounded and caring. I have a wide variety of my own interests and am not afraid to try new and challenging things. I am fairly well-accomplished in terms of my career. I like working out, eating healthy foods and keeping my body in shape. As far as dating is concerned, I would like to take the time to really get to know another person without rushing into anything.The ideal person for me would be someone who is comfortable with themselves, outgoing, active, kind and considerate. These are great qualities but they are often very difficult to find in others! I don't think the first date should be over the top. Most importantly, the date should give us both an opportunity to get to know each other. Prior to the actual date I would very much like to learn more about the other person by talking directly. *** texting are great ways to communicate but not necessarily the best means of truly getting to know another person. Once we have had the opportunity to talk to one another and are both comfortable then I would very much look forward to that first date.Getting together for a drink, cup of coffee or something to eat would be a great way to start. I would pick a low key and quiet place which would give us an opportunity to talk to one another. I can be a little bit shy at first but once I get to know another person I am very social and like making conversation. If the first date goes well then a second date would be great. If myself or the other person is not interested that that is fine as well and I rarely ever regret meeting someone new even if it is just for friendship!
