About Me

I love the outdoors, and enjoy being on my boat when not at work. I like to fish, cruise, wakeboard, and crab. I also enjoy my stand-up paddleboard and Jet-ski's. Basically any excuse getting out on the water from spring to fall. Late fall and winter is spent waterfowl hunting from a small boat with my 13 year old son. It is amazing how tranquil local rivers and creeks are in January! I am in the process of retiring from the Marine Corps Reserve, which is bitter/sweet after 25 years of service and two wars. My contracting business has suffered from the poor economy, and it will be nice to not have to arrange everything around the schedule of the Marine Corps. Not to mention, having more free time for myself. Setting me up for retirement financially is obviously important, but I want to live everyday! We don’t know what tomorrow brings!The Marine Corps has given me the opportunity to travel to three other continents, and see many different countries and cultures. It is easy to forget how good we have it in the United States, but I am fortunate to be reminded every time I turn on the faucet and get an endless supply of clean water! I am very blessed, and try hard to keep everything in prospective. Life is all about balance!I grew up listening to country music with some classic rock mixed in for variety. I still listen to country on the radio, but love tying up at Big Mary's dock bar on the weekend, and listening to live music. This is often not more than a guy with an acoustic guitar, and a microphone; I really appreciate the simple things in life.; and then moving to the tiki bar for drinks and music under the stars; followed by a beautiful moonlit boat ride home. Fitness is important to me, and it should be important to anyone I would date.
