I work as a writer and talker. Well, maybe not. I’ve been doing it for about seven years full-time, and I do enjoy it, though it’s far a field from my classical training in humanities at college. Skills translate though (critical thinking, writing, speaking).As for what I can offer, I think at the top of my list is my ability to communicate. I think many times problems/fights begin because people don't really hear each other which in turn leads to confrontation. Second, my ability to adapt. You have to be flexible in a relationship---some people are just too rigid. And third, my sense of humor. And no, it's not because I'm boring and can't think of anything. It should be tailored to the person you are going to spend it with. Do they like fine wine? Fancy meals? Hiking? Playing golf? Museums? Maybe something like like a coffee or ice cream? No cookie cutter option for me, it truly should be something that really applies to what the two of us want to do.
