Hi there and thanks for stopping by!I’m a quite well educated, well traveled and while I love my career in purchasing, it doesn't define me. My kids, family and friends will always be the most important part of my life. I used to play tennis and wouldn't mind to get back into the game. I love classical music, but generally distinguish only good from bad music and can enjoy a good pop song just as well as opera (I’m struggling with jazz a little bit – I guess, I never learned to listen to it). I like to read and have been lately into some really good biographies of successful people.I prefer to bake, but I don't mind to cook for as long as there is someone to cook for. I laugh and joke a lot (even under dire circumstances) and have a positive outlook on life. Honesty and loyalty are major characteristics I look for in people I like to have in my circles. I love to be surrounded with people of strong characters who aren't afraid of challenging others or being challenged themselves. Ultimately, I believe in free will and choice...I appreciate all who who found my profile interesting enough to send me a note, but I'll reply only to those fishes that have their pictures posted on their page. Sorry about that. When the company is good I don't worry too much about surroundings (to a point, of course). It could be something standard as a meeting for a coffee, dinner, theater, or something more active like cycling, a walk/run or a game of tennis or whatever we decide to do.

I like to get outdoors a lot, out to the mountains, or maybe to another country. I'm interested in the world, ready to learn more about myself and others, and would love to get to know another person deeply in a long-term relationship. A deep relationship has a lot of value to me. I'm not looking for "happiness" in life - I'm looking to experience a range of emotions, acknowledging the pain and the beauty of everyday life. I don't mean that in a trite way - it seems like we can get preoccupied with thinking we're supposed to be happy all of the time, and miss out on some really special people, places, feelings. I'm interested in a lot of things, and get excited about exploring ideas from all points of view. I like healthy living, (physically, emotionally, etc) and am excited to make healthy changes - some of which can be pretty hard. Not interested in drugs or heavy drinking (but I love a good IPA or glass of wine). There's a lot to learn, about myself and others and the world, and I'm open to it, and open to growing and changing. I dream of living in a beautiful home somehow close to nature, and feeling calm, creative, and comfortable with a partner there. I don't like lots of clutter - I get too confused! My friends would describe me as progressive (or maybe liberal) in most arenas, definitely not conservative. They would probably also say I'm over-educated and on occasion a little too excitable. I've deeply interested in experimental music of all kinds - classical, jazz, punk rock, indie rock - the stuff that some people might call weird. I love camping and backpacking, and don't mind getting dirty and uncomfortable (literally and metaphorically - really digging and dealing with the tough stuff in life is kind of fun!). It would be wonderful to have someone to experience the world with, to really dig in and experience life. Hmm, a first date could be a walk in a park, or a cup of coffee, someplace relaxing and not too noisy so we can talk and learn more about each other. Since I'm interested in a long-term relationship, I'm not in a hurry, I really do want to learn about each other first. Isn't that one of the benefits of having a little more experience? If that first date is fun, then a second date could be a hike or a day skiing, something that's a mix of activity and fun. I might save a movie or dinner for a 3rd date, but I do love good food and an interesting, compelling movie.

I enjoy scuba diving, reading, spending time with friends and family, and planting flowers and veggies in the yard. I have a job that I love. I enjoy watching college football in the fall.
