Hi! and thanks for stopping by... I am here hoping to find my best friend, my lover, my confidant and my life companion. I understand that sometimes two people that have similar interests just may not click when they meet. That's OK, that is life! We are all adults here. I am not into weeks of texting or messaging and talking on the phone, if we share the same interests lets meet somewhere, face-to-face, and see what happens! The worst that can happen is there is no "spark"...no harm, no foul, and not a lot of wasted time...If you find someone else or decide we are not a good match, tell me! I have feelings, and it hurts when people just suddenly stop texting/calling/whatever...and you don't have to lie to me!I can weep at a chick flick or cuss out a ref that makes a bad call while watching my fave football team...I am one heck of a cook but enjoy having help in the kitchen too. i am honest, straightforward, rather old-fashioned in many ways, and was raised with an appreciation of the finer things in life, and the value of hard work. I worked hard for 25 years and am paying for it now. lol...everything works, i am just a little slower than I was at 20! I am by no means perfect and am not looking for perfection, just a real man who is perfect to me!I am looking for a man that wants to meet his best friend/lover/confidant and life companion. You must be honest, straightforward, and know how to and be willing to communicate! If you work 60 or more hours a week and want to spend your spare time with your kids, why are you here? just sayin... Being able to dress up for a night at the symphony is a plus...as is knowing how to cook both on charcoal and gas grills! I live with my Dad, and am quite content to continue to do so. I will answer every message that is sent to me, even if it is just to say "sorry, not interested"!. I would NEVER be rude to someone and *** message! Please don't add me to your favorites without sendiing me a message, it confuses me! lol (is he interested? is he not?...) same with the MEET ME feature, just drop me a line for goodness sake! I'm a nice person! If I drop you a line like so many of you say you want if a woman is interested, can you not at least acknowledge that? Even if it is just "no thanks"? I am NOT looking for fwbs or one-nighters. Sorry, I am just not into big-bodied men! I like all music, from Mozart to Metallica, and everything in between except rap and hip-hop. i still love life and get enthused about the good things!Going to the symphony, the theater, out to see a good blues band, a ball game, or the tractor pulls at the fair are some things I enjoy.Walking in the park or on the beach, sitting on the back porch watching the sun rise (or set) are also good times. Road trips are fun too, both planned and spontaneous! I have a great sense of humor and can laugh at myself when I have a blonde moment. I am well-read and never intend to stop learning. I have patience for just about everything except willful stupidity and deception! I am not into the bar or club scene, I just don't drink much, but will go see a good band. I love animals, and have owned many different kinds over the years. I have a valid passport, and would love to see more of the world someday. I enjoy the slower pace of country life and the culture available in cities.I prefer small gatherings to large parties, don't need to have money spent on me to have a good time, appreciate the gift of a compliment when warranted more than a thousand birthday gifts on that one day of the year. I am very affectionate, and passionate and want someone that is the same. I will be your cheerleader 110%, I am not into drama, and will NOT fight with anyone!     So much in my life makes me smile and laugh I don’t know where to begin to talk about who I am. I will take a stab at it…I smile and belly-laugh when I am with my kids. I never knew how much I would love being a mom.I smile at the sunset and being outdoors. I love being around, on, and in any type of water. Watching the waves come in while my feet are in the sand makes me really smile. Boogie Boarding like a teenager makes me laugh. I am lucky that I live close enough to the American River Trail and am able to walk or jog by the river often. I love good, fresh food and dream of one day actually being able to cook it rather than go out and get it. I love, love, love live theater and musicals – I am always tempted to sing along with the cast, but I resist until I am alone in the car. I had season tickets to the B Street Theater, but can’ I like seeing faces.I smile when I am blaring my music – all genres – and dance around the house. I love going to listen to live music and I love to dance.; Sons or Damien Rice. But, they change. I also like more quiet activities such as going to hear speakers and learning from their experiences. I think I just enjoy going out and experiencing new things. I make it a practice to laugh and thoroughly crack myself up.“thinking” type of comedy. I find having a 9 and 12 year old has required me not to indulge my appetite for more adult-like humor – at least when they are around. I laugh a great deal when out with my friends. I am very grateful to have them.I smile about work. I like being organized, busy, and flexible. A good day is one that I feel I made a difference, juggled numerous projects, kept my deadlines, and remained calm and kind.My ideal Saturday night….With my kids, it would definitely be playing together – a game, drive-in or bike ride. I love it when they have sleepovers and the house is full of kids and joyful chaos. I smile while I listen to how they interact with their friends and who they are becoming. I don’t get ruffled by much, except probably exclusion. Although, the high-pitch girl screams are quite a challenge for me.An ideal Saturday night activity for me without the kids (50% of the time) would be when I am out in a large group, with a small number of friends, or home alone with a good book or movie. It depends less on the activity and more on who I am with. I enjoy good conversation and laughter – very simple with little drama. Oh, and I love listening to live music or meeting new people. I like to talk to someone and see if we connect...over coffee, while on a bike ride, or taking a walk.
