Hmmm...describe me... It's probably best if I state what my friends say about me which is sometimes very different from how I would describe myself. So, they say that I'm funny, honest, passionate, smart, fearful, a bit walled off at times, very creative, hard-working, a nerd, intuitive, extremely strong, very helpful, attractive, athletic, analytical, ...Yikes! That's plenty. I obviously have some REALLY GREAT friends. Oh, and I asked my mom to describe me, and she said, ..."well, you're just perfect"... That's probably where I get my sense of humor, and definitely my capacity to love on such a deep level. I moved to CA with the man that I am now divorcing (we separated over three years ago). Divorce-- The marriage was supposed to be 'until death do us part.' I couldn't exactly kill him--that would be immoral. But I refuse to share MY man with other women, so it had to end. I guess I'm selfish that way.I must say, I strongly value honesty. Although I CAN read minds, it's just easier if I don't have to waste my superpowers on someone whose intent is to deceive me. I guess maybe I should be honest then. I don't really have superpowers; hence, no mindreading skills. I do have a bit of women's intuition though, and I pray for clarity on a regular basis. The truth comes out eventually, why not just start with it?I'm told that I'm easy to talk to and actually quite down to earth. I'm somewhat of a homebody, but after 15 years of marriage, I'm finding that I love to get out and socialize on a regular basis. I have a fondness for the dancefloor. I like R&B, rock, and old school music to dance to, but when I'm just listening, I'm country all the way. My favorite hobby is to crochet, but I also love home improvement. There's nothing sexier than a man that can build and fix things. And I definitely want to be right in there helping to get things done.This seems so 'all about me' and one-sided. I think I'd rather have a two way discovery process. Fabulous chemistry is mandatory for that deep connection that I'm looking for. I know there's a man out there that is my everything. Okay. She's back! So... Here goes... Well, I guess this should be about both of us (right??), so let’s see what I can come up with…this is important stuff - right?!? ;-)About ME: How to make this tantalizing but honest… Let’s see… Okay – I’m really a lot of fun and only slightly crazy (that’s the result of either having 2 teen-aged sons - both now in college - and/or the practice of law – not sure which is more culpable). Always up for a few laughs and a good glass of wine (a margarita will do on occasion as well). I’ve yet to meet a man who was immediately drawn in by the fact that I love to read or take long walks/jogs through the park, so I’ll save that scintillating info for later.About YOU: This is important stuff!! I'm interested in a man who is an intelligent, well-educated professional.. Who makes me laugh...and maybe a little tingly... Look, let's get honest here - Everyone has his/her preferred "type" by this point in life and while I'm flattered, mine is not the cowboy-type, nor is it the guy with multiple pictures of his motorcycle or "selfies" half-nude in the bathroom mirror. (LOTS of gals may LOVE those guys - that's why God made us all different!)... The rest we will just have to play by ear… or eye… How’s that? Isn't this FUN?! Hello! I am employed and I enjoy my job..., most of the time. I try to keep things pretty simple with a positive attitude on life..., and always try to live by the Golden Rule. I am Spiritual and belong to a fellowship. In the summer you would find me on the beach with my girlfriends...in the winter I am happiest with snow on the ground...or looking for it in the mountains. I prefer being outdoors. Traveling is part of me, German Father and Guyanese Mother saw to that...now I would like to try for more of Europe, maybe Thailand. I have a cousin living there for the next few years. Life for me is simple and I avoid drama at all cost. I never had children but have been blessed to have had and have many of them as a constant in my life ... I'm not sure how it happened...but my life has been full because of them! I believe that I am perfectly imperfect and my friends tell me that I am a Good Listener, Respectful, Trustworthy, Understanding, Funny, Curious and Infectiously Happy. I believe a healthy relationship is being able to show your feelings, all of them..and..I believe in the three C's, Conversation, Compassion and Compromise. I'm adventurous and still a bit of a thrill seeker, I like to drive fast ;). Although, I am at the time of my life where it just takes takes a bit longer to recover. My search is about a desire, not a need. What is most important to me is about sharing our hopes and dreams together..., being supportive to each other & cherish our lives where we can achieve our goals with endless possibilities. A partner that can give freely of themselves, and appreciates the same in return. I believe we should be both students and teachers so we both can learn from each other and other's in our lives. I am looking for someone who is realistic and down to earth and wants to live a wonderful life. It's not about what you have or don't have, it's what is in your heart and how you treat others that will show who you really are. And yes, let's be honest, chemistry is important to everyone and we all have our taste..., prefer athletic average or a little husky types. I know what I appreciate and also know what I don't want. Life is to short for Games, and it just becomes to disheartening. It's not what we get out of the relationship that counts... it is what we bring into it that gives it life. I know we are not all perfect, we are human and desire that Special Someone. FAITH, HOPE and LOVE..., But The Greatest Of These Is LOVE. As for likes and dislikes...practically everything is in the like column except dancing...I was not blessed with rhythm...I will always give it a shot though, not to proud to give it a shake! I love most music, ...and I enjoy singing too...although, once again, was not blessed in that area either.
